ONE PIECE ODYSSEY - Reunion of Memories is a listless appendix to say the least. Net of interesting narrative premises at first glance, the DLC proved to be disappointing in every respect: an already superfluous and forgettable plot is in this case aggravated by the total removal of the exploratory component, which on balance translates into an extremely linear and boring experience, and by the exasperating recycling of settings and bosses already proposed by the main game.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust it's a strange and half-successful experiment. Stripped of crafting and all the secondary activities that characterized the vast world of Athia, the DLC focuses on the narrative, revealing a seemingly essential backstory to be able to continue exploring Frey's adventure.

Helvetii is an action roguelike that does not present any vaguely original ideas. Characterized by a below-average longevity, it must however be recognized that the product partly compensates for its shortcomings with a high challenge rate and an artistic system that winks at the sensational Vanillaware productions, without fully equaling the visual rendering.

Except for the fascinating artistic component, which from that distant 2007 would have become the trademark of Vanillaware, GrimGrimoire OnceMore is an imperfect product and not exactly up to the fame that the Japanese developer enjoys today, also because the reissue has preserved most of the defects detected in the original.

The Gust Corporation team managed to surprise us again, completing the phenomenal process of evolution that their IP had undergone since the first Atelier Ryza. Despite having inherited most of the mechanics from the second episode, the last fundamental piece of the trilogy has the merit of having speeded up and streamlined every single aspect of production, giving the player a decidedly more engaging rhythm.

Despite the years that have passed, from a playful and narrative point of view The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure still defends itself well, and today as then it tells one of the most mature and engaging stories that the Nihon Falcom saga has to offer.

There are several aspects of Mato Anomalies that do not work as we would have liked. Although interesting and engaging, the narrative scaffolding is in fact slowed down by the presence of long-winded dialogues (moreover not dubbed) in visual novel style, while the playful system does not offer particularly original solutions.

Being extremely close to the original concept, which at least in Japan had been designed for the ill-fated PlayStation Vita, the hybrid nature of Nintendo Switch has returned to the product a portability that keeps boredom away and is well suited to its Pet Simulator mechanics.

Drawing on the soundtracks of all the main chapters of Final Fantasy and most of its increasingly numerous spin-offs, the Japanese partnership composed of Square Enix and indieszero has been able to give shape once again to an exciting rhythm game, which sees in the content component its main merit.

Octopath Traveler II is basically a "more of the same". Although the guys at Acquire have made several adjustments to the formula of the original, implementing interesting innovations such as the day / night cycle or latent powers, none of them can be defined as really impactful.

While we understand and appreciate Bandai Namco's decision to bring Tales of Symphonia to as many platforms as possible, in order to allow new generations to (re)discover one of the most important chapters of the franchise, we firmly believe that such a lazy remastering is not the most effective (nor the most respectful) method to revive a great classic of the past and celebrate its twentieth anniversary.

There was a moment when we really feared for the success of Fospoken, which due to a not exactly crystalline communication from the publisher often ended up making us feel conflicting feelings.
