Brilliant simulation of a traditional dungeon crawler board game with a decent variety of enemies. I can't wait for the release of the next dungeon.

One of the best flipper simulations ever finally come to PC VR and it's as good as the original experience. Also, can someone somehow build a fan cave in my house please?

Excellent throwback to memories of our younger selves, Total War: Rome Remastered reminds us how good the basics of this series were and how far it has travelled in the last seventeen years.

Hammer & Ravens developers have been brave and they got several good intuitions, even if the balance problems make the management component less engaging and the graphic style makes the tower defence not too sexy. The main character is a blast though.

DOOM 3 is the ideal choice for virtual reality and its environments have never felt so vivid. The game remains an old school shooter, however the main campaign and the two expansions will give you a great reason to dust off your Aim controller. This adaptation is not perfect, but we should count our blessings.

Whether it's lack of effort, time or budget, Cyanide Studio does not enough to provide a satisfying combat system, nor an interesting story-telling, nor a decent technical presentation.

The duration of the campaign stands at least half a dozen hours, so not bad, but in the face of an experience that I feel I recommend only to the most cheezy fans of Warhammer 40,000, moreover with some remora for the most demanding. Final chiosa for multiplayer: I would have liked to try horde mode in co-op, but at the moment it is not available, you have to wait until January. Will it be the turning point? It would take one of the Sisters' miracles.

Myst is a title deeply dropped in its time. In the 1990s the concept of tutorials was almost unknown, as was the idea of a video walkthrough: at most you could find some textual guide in the reference magazines, but more often it was necessary to hope that some friends had discovered by the back ways how to solve that particularly difficult puzzle. The market wasn't inundated with the amount of video games now, and we users had a different predisposition to spend days and days trying to progress to trialand error , trying to click on every point of interest until something was unlocked. This long premise seems fundamental to me to frame the type of experience that Myst offers us, since its incipit.

Respawn Entertainment nails everything that makes VR so special and wraps it in a fun shooter with a narrative style that doesn't take itself too seriously and offers simple but solid multiplayer options. Add to the mix a true gem with real historic value like the Gallery, and you can hardly ask for more.

Ghostrunner is a pure game: if you came for a parkour adrenaline rush with katana swords, you are in for a treat. The fast pace and good variety of levels and enemies will keep you playing for longer than you expect, and you will barely notice the "meh"-grade graphic.

You can see sparks of an excellent game here and there, but the full potential got lost along the way. Still, not so many tactical action games around – beggars can't be choosers!

The child in me was happy with the first turn of my TIE Interceptor, but the adult in me also has to recognise a very straight-forward campaign and a surprising lack of multiplayer modes. But what's there is pretty good, thanks to a phenomenal flight system, clever maps and strategic progression system. Oh, and VR support.

Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars is one of the most shallow strategy games I have played in years, both narratively and mechanically: few units, weak AI and uninteresting maps do not make for an enjoyable package. A pity, considering the premise is interesting and tactical combat isn't too bad. But it's not enough.

Impressive use of proprietary Microsoft's maps and AI technologies aside, Flight Simulator is outstanding for the sheer amount of freedom we are given and how far it pushes our spirit of exploration. Sim fans will have a lot to chew on, and newcomers will love the "simcade" feeling offered by the customizable assist system. It's also on Xbox Game Pass, so go get it.

It is exciting to play a shooter, it is satisfying to play a strategy game. Doing both things at the same time, it is just glorious. Disintegration is extremely balanced for being the first take at this new genre, and it is very well polished, too. The worldbuilding is fascinating, the story is not too bad, but the writing of characters and dialogues is terrible. Luckily the game is just so good.

The transposition of the Games Workshop miniature games fails to deliver a fun experience on all fronts.

As a remaster, this is as good as they can possibly get. As a game to be played in 2020, it still stands up pretty well, and its raw gameplay is so distant from today's standards that it feels like a breath of fresh air.

Space whales! Before We Leave brings us space whales! And along with them, a polished city builder which takes known tenets of the genre to forge its own direction. Repetitive assets are a minor flaw in an overall extremely enjoyable experience with a lot to do even in absence of a real game over.

Paper Beast is a fascinating migratory tale that highlights the power of collaboration and mutual help. Too bad its distinctive graphic style is brought down by terrible textures and the Sandbox mode is only the shadow of what it could have been.

FORM takes us to another world, halfway between dream and metaphysics. The developers nail the feeling of interacting with every object in the game and present us with interesting puzzles. It is too short, though, more akin to a demo or a concept than a full game.
