6 / 10.0 - SuperMash
Jun 9, 2020

My time with SuperMash was interesting, to say the least. Some mashups were extremely fun, while others were just boring. I have to say it is a game that is going to give you a different experience almost every time you play, and while story mode isn't too intriguing, I can't say fully it is a bad game. That said, I couldn't say that it is an amazing game either. The concept was a valid attempt of an idea, however many times; the mashes felt bland.  As it sits even with the promise of DLC, I'm not sure it is worth the asking price of $19.99.

Although Mononoke Slashdown has its fun parts, it gets rather old quickly. The grind of going back to missions over and over just to purchase the items needed to stand more of a chance against an overpowered boss becomes tedious. The asking price of $6.99 doesn't seem entirely overpriced, yet it still feels your hard-earned cash could be best spent elsewhere.

6 / 10.0 - WRC 8
Nov 28, 2019

WRC is overall enjoyable despite the steering issue. Managing the career mode and/or just doing the season is a fair amount of content and gameplay to take part in. Unfortunately, steering being a huge mechanic in the WRC8 makes it speed past the finish line a little behind the other racing titles already on the Switch.

Although Bow to Blood: Last Captain Standing wasn't for me, this certainly doesn't mean it was a bad game. With a little more to offer with the characters, and some tweaking with the airships, this game could offer someone a unique battle arena experience.

6 / 10.0 - Mech Rage
Jan 25, 2019

Mech Rage isn't a bad game, but it also isn't a great game. It fails to bring anything we haven't seen before to the genre. Despite not having too much variance from other top-down action shooters, Mech Rage wasn't entirely terrible but there wasn't anything that made me want to scream “Yes, come play this!”. The $9.99 price tag isn't too bad however you may want to wait for a sale to pick this one up.

Mercenaries Chronicles Saga offers a decent amount of gameplay that averages about five dollars a game. Which really is not a terrible price. However, the lack of freshness does hold it back.

Upgrading the ship and taking part in battles are the most interesting part; I just wish there was more to it.

6 / 10.0 - Uncanny Valley
Feb 1, 2019

I have never been too into survival horror games, but have played and really enjoyed some over the years. I was hoping that Uncanny Valley would be one of the good ones. For me, it failed to do so–it wasn't terrible but the lack of a linear storyline made it more confusing than enjoyable for me. Fans of horror survival games may enjoy it more; however, casual players of the genre may want to wait for a price slash.

6 / 10.0 - Hive Jump
Jan 25, 2019

In the end, the overall difficulty of the game makes Hive Jump a hard game to recommend. Players looking for a one player run-and-gun game should look to other titles. If you like difficult multiplayer games, this might be the game you are looking for.

Paranautical Activity was an interesting play, however the lack of progression of difficulty made it a struggle to enjoy.  Even at a decent selling price of $7.99, the frustrations I encountered while playing the game make it hard to recommend.

6.5 / 10.0 - Bite the Bullet
Sep 14, 2020

Bite the Bullet is a decent run-and-gun game; the eating mechanic was a fun addition to the style. While long levels may seem like a good idea, it often felt a bit overwhelming. The level goals were also a decent addition to the genre; however, the length of the levels had me struggling to complete them. Fans of run-and-gun games may want to consider Bite the Bullet. Players who are not run-and-gun enthusiasts might want to steer away from this title.

6.5 / 10.0 - Cannibal Cuisine
May 20, 2020

Cannibal Cuisine is a game I had my doubts about. Within a few levels, I was enjoying my time playing as long as players can swallow the idea of cannibalism for their next game night.

My time with Nicky Home Alone Golf Ball was filled with mixed feelings. While I enjoyed my time playing it, for the most part, the control issues did cause some frustration. For the asking price of .99-cents, it is hard not to say don't buy it despite the frustration it still can be a fun game.

6.5 / 10.0 - Neon Caves

I really enjoyed my time with Neon Caves. It brought me back to memories of my first gaming experiences. Trying the publisher's other games as suggested in the loading screen is something I myself plan to do.

6.5 / 10.0 - Super Volley Blast
Aug 16, 2018

Super Volleyball blast didn't really have too many features that stuck out to me, however it did a great job at realistic volleyball play. Players who really enjoy volleyball will have fun with the game. Players looking for a sports title with highly detailed characters and gameplay may want to look elsewhere. It certainly isn't a bad game, but there isn't anything that makes it a must-have title.

7 / 10.0 - Warsaw
Nov 19, 2020

While I enjoyed WARSAW the only real complaint I had was the difficulty from time to time. Overall the game looked good and was an enjoyable experience.  Those who prefer less of a challenging experience should look elsewhere because WARSAW offers a challenging but rewarding turn-based strategy game.

If the idea of a future with cyborgs and robots battling each other interests you, and you don't mind a bit of a learning curve, then Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is probably for you. There were times where battles felt long and drawn out and even a bit slow. A few times, battles felt overwhelmingly difficult. Fans of the Warhammer series may have a better understanding and experience with the game. Overall it was a fun playthrough and should definitely be considered for your next strategy game.

7 / 10.0 - Urban Flow
