7 / 10 - INDUSTRIA
Oct 1, 2021

Industria lacks polish and isn't very long, but it's a well-made, interesting first-person shooter created with some clear talent.

8 / 10 - Aeon Drive
Sep 30, 2021

Phenomenal controls and addictive gameplay are the crux of Aeon Drive. This is a very good speedrunning game that I wish did more to draw in a certain crowd, but it'll please the devoted all the same.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Last Friend
Sep 29, 2021

The Last Friend is a hell of a fun time, combining action-packed combat and flashy tower defense into a killer package. It's a bit short and too easy, but these dogs will have their day.

7.5 / 10.0 - A Juggler's Tale

A Juggler's Tale drops the ball some with its design, but puts on a worthwhile show due to its presentation and story.

Buggy, broken, and boring, Away: The Survival Series is awful all around.

9 / 10 - In Sound Mind
Sep 27, 2021

A psychological horror game with a focus on narrative consistency and gameplay variety, In Sound Mind is a great time due to excellent pacing, level design, and pure ingenuity, even if it's not particularly scary.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is gorgeous and extremely well made, but there's less heart here than I was expecting. It's still a worthy adventure with great controls and lots to see and do, though.

Although it appears extremely light on content at first, the DLC and workshop mode both do a lot to make this an enjoyable Bubble Bobble experience that should satisfy anyone looking for some classic gameplay.

6.5 / 10.0 - Embr
Sep 23, 2021

Embr is fun when it focuses on fighting fires and rescuing people, but there are too many gimmicks and unnecessary additional ingredients thrown into this pot. There's enjoyment to be had, but it could have been a lot more compelling had it just gone the obvious route.

9 / 10 - Sable
Sep 22, 2021

Striking, peaceful, and wholly focused on exploring at your own pace, Sable is a joy to play. The optimization could use some serious work, but this is an extremely compelling game that offers a better open-world experience than many AAA developers have crafted.

8.5 / 10.0 - I Am Fish

Gorgeous, creative, and ever so compelling, I Am Fish is a bold step forward for Bossa Studios, despite some aggravations.

5.5 / 10.0 - Aragami 2
Sep 15, 2021

Padded, mediocre, and tripped up by horribly dated AI and unreliable game mechanics, Aragami 2 is the kind of stealth game that you may want to just sneak past.

Short, but without an ounce of fat, Flynn: Son of Crimson is well worth a playthrough due to its excellent controls and great level design.

7.5 / 10.0 - Lost in Random

Charming and often fun, Lost in Random has less going on than I would have liked, even if I had a good time overall.

9 / 10.0 - Tales of Arise
Sep 9, 2021

And there you have it. Tales of Arise is a good port on PC, save for my R2 button. It doesn’t have the vastest array of settings, but it gets the job done.

5.5 / 10.0 - RICO London
Sep 9, 2021

RICO: London can be good fun at times, but it's also janky, unpolished, and frustrating. Also, the co-op's broken. That doesn't help.

Not particularly offensive, but too repetitive, poorly written, and dull to inspire much admiration. Hindsight 20/20 has some nifty ideas, but they're not enough to act as a lifesaver.

7.5 / 10.0 - Lake

A generally enjoyable narrative game with strong characters and writing, Lake is a pleasant way to pass the time when its technical faults aren't making things difficult.

Both well-designed in some spots and iffier in others, Tormented Souls can be highly frustrating, but is an overall enjoyable classic-style, survival horror experience that fans will be happy to have.

A tour-de-force of sumptious visuals and world-class game design come together for a truly impressive feast for the senses. Psychonauts 2 is a must-play title for fans and newcomers alike.
