6 / 10 - Wanted: Dead
Feb 14, 2023

Violent, ridiculous, and occasionally fun, Wanted: Dead misses a lot of its marks but is still worth a look for the devoted.

Choo-Choo Charles is undoubtedly an amusing concept. But it feels more like a semi-polished tech demo than a retail experience, which isn't helped by the awful enemy logic.

5.5 / 10.0 - Aragami 2
Sep 15, 2021

Padded, mediocre, and tripped up by horribly dated AI and unreliable game mechanics, Aragami 2 is the kind of stealth game that you may want to just sneak past.

5.5 / 10.0 - RICO London
Sep 9, 2021

RICO: London can be good fun at times, but it's also janky, unpolished, and frustrating. Also, the co-op's broken. That doesn't help.

Not particularly offensive, but too repetitive, poorly written, and dull to inspire much admiration. Hindsight 20/20 has some nifty ideas, but they're not enough to act as a lifesaver.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons has some good qualities. However, they're almost always in danger of being trampled by the game's consistent lack of polish and stream of bugs.

Destroy All Humans! has excellent visuals and is fun for a couple of hours. But it's so redundant, uninspired, and devoid of any real energy that I can't recommend it to anyone that doesn't already love the original.

Gorgeous and full of varied events, it still isn’t nearly enough to help the The Crew Motorfest stand up to the other top racing dogs thanks to a laundry list of poor decisions, awkward vehicle handling, and a distinct failure to make use of some of the franchise’s strongest attributes.

6 / 10.0 - En Garde!
Aug 16, 2023

En Garde! has plenty of style and looks and controls well enough, but the extremely tedious gameplay focusing more on tricks than swordplay quickly starts to wear thin.

Glitch Busters is visually charming but it lacks too many basic characteristics that are expected from team-based shooters

Steamworld Build delivers an entertaining blend of city building and dungeon crawling, but the two pillars don't completely gel and myriad annoyances taint the experience.

It's pretty and it plays well, but this is a short, underwhelming Metroidvania with no exploration and uninteresting level design.

While fun at first, the simplistic, bland combat and boring navigation makes the game less than it could have been.

On one hand, I love some of Kamiwaza's elements including the thievery and 'just stealth' system. But the game is sabotaged by a lack of clarity and a lack of proper quality-of-life changes.

6 / 10 - Trek to Yomi
May 5, 2022

Visually excellent but extremely short and packed with repetitive, clunky sword fights, Trek to Yomi doesn't hit all the right notes.

Quirky and fun while it lasts, DEEEER Simulator doesn't have nearly enough content to justify its price tag, and little has been added to rationalize the price increase over its Early Access version.

BATS is a basic 2D action game with some solid vampire puns. Not much to see here, but it's mostly alright.

Aeon Must Die has extremely creative ideas that simply don't merge well as a game, resulting in a frustrating experience that gets old rather quickly.

Visually-pleasing, but shallow and overly derivative. Far from a bad game, but there's nothing here to separate it from the pack.

6 / 10 - FORECLOSED
Aug 12, 2021

While it has a strong premise and some neat ideas, Foreclosed it let down by rote, subpar third-person shooter action and unimpressive stealth sections during its short runtime.
