5.3 / 10.0 - Bounty Battle
Sep 10, 2020

Bounty Battle's core fighting mechanics doesn't feel very satisfying and the lack of story mode for a cross over like this, makes it even more disappointing. The only part that the actually achieves something of value is the graphics and the visual design, it's just sad that the rest of the game didn't get as much attention and the whole potential of a Smash inspired game for indies feels totally wasted.

5.5 / 10.0 - DRIFT21
Jul 25, 2021

Unless you specifically want to play a Mechanic/Drift game, there are better and cheaper games that does these two designs way better than DRIFT21.

A pixel art film-noir RPG sounds like a golden idea but Pecaminosa’s execution leaves a lot to be desired. The pacing is uneven and the quasi-fantasy parts are out of nowhere but the boss fights are fun and have 8 & 16-bit era vibes.

5.5 / 10.0 - KURSK
Dec 6, 2018

Jujubee S.A.’s efforts in creating a different narrative style is admirable, and they did a great job in designing a solid atmosphere and a dynamic environment. But when it comes to presenting a video game inspired by real historical events, KURSK falls a little bit short, and besides that the core gameplay is not really entertaining either.

In Pathfinder: Kingmaker, you can see the footprints of many great names in the video games industry, but it seems that the main development team was neither able nor experienced enough to execute the game's ideas and potentials in a right way, and even if you don't take its many technical issues into consideration, Pathfinder: Kingmaker is still far from a proper CRPG.

5.6 / 10.0 - Decay of Logos
Sep 1, 2019

Decay of Logos is a third rate Zelda-clone which needs at least another year of work to become a decent experience. Unless you have a lot of patience and like meaningless exploration, then by all means have a go at it.

6 / 10.0 - Saints Row
Aug 22, 2022

The new Saints Row is exactly what we expect to get from a title in this franchise, the crazy action, the juvenile humor and the abundance of everything purple! Problem is that all of this feels a little stale by today’s standards and considering how out there the two recent games before this were, it all also feels a little dialed back too, which may be disappointing for some of the older fans of the series that wanted to new game to get even more crazy.

6 / 10.0 - Eternal Threads
May 28, 2022

There is a great potential here but the execution is quite lacking and not only in the the audio-visual presentation that is years behind but also the core gameplay which feels like it was sacrificed for the sake of narrative goals.

Although it had the longest development time compared to other Empire spin-offs, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires somehow feels like the one with lowest effort put in to be made. Its biggest problem is that on the strategic side there are now a bunch of titles that give a deeper experience to people looking for a Three Kingdoms era video game and sadly the action parts design is quite repetitive. The asking price also doesn’t seem fair considering what the final product actually offers.

Did you ever wanted to play something that could be described as “Diablo but Anime”? Then RemiLore is just the thing for you. Unfortunately aside from some beautiful use of color and fun voice acting, the gameplay falls flat and gets repetitive really fast.

6 / 10.0 - Comanche
Aug 28, 2021

Comanche feels like a game that doesn’t want you to play it or at least not enjoy yourself while playing it. The controls are so clunky that you can’t just explain it by saying “it’s a simulation” and the missions just aren’t that varied or interesting.

There are definitely people who will sympathize with this story but I personally find it boring and the lack of voice acting made it really hard to get through all the unnecessarily long dialogues. Personal stories are always welcomed but they should have something new to say to actually connect with the audience

The audio and visual presentations are among the best in any remake we’ve seen in all these years and the option to instantly switch to old version is a great bonus but gameplay-wise, the developers have stuck too close to the original design which has resulted in a very frustrating game, even by platforming genre’s usual “annoyance first, fun later” philosophy.

6 / 10.0 - Of Bird and Cage
May 20, 2021

Making a video game to be the vessel of a music album is a nice new idea in an industry that by each passing day is becoming saturated by same-y products. The problem is that it all ends up being a tired interactive movie with morally questionable parts in its narrative.

All in all, Untitled Goose Game does not deliver on its potential and ends up being a funny idea that wasn’t executed very well.

Jagged Alliance: Rage is yet another release that uses the Jagged Alliance name but fails to deliver. The turn-based gameplay and the survival elements are good enough, but in other areas there are tons of shortcomings that not only disappoints the old fans of the series but also fails to ward off competition from other turn-based titles available on the market.

Ninjin: Clash of Carrots tries so hard be like old time Beat 'em Up titles, and even tries to change the genre's formula by using Endless Runner mechanics, but it has failed in both, and the final result is a shallow, repetitive، boring and incomplete Beat 'em Up title.

6 / 10 - We Happy Few
Aug 8, 2018

We Happy Few tries to combine a dystopian story with a survival gameplay, but these aspects don't quite work together and sometimes even step on each other's toes. Also the execution of the game as a whole, leaves a lot to be desired.

6.2 / 10.0 - Best Friend Forever
Aug 27, 2020

More than feeling like a dog-lovers game, this feels like the ultimate hipster fantasy and the amount of enjoyment you get out of this title pretty much depends on how much you like these cliché ideas of how millennials feel superior by doing nothing of importance. There is a funny dog caring game in there but it feels mostly like an afterthought.

This is a remake with updated visuals, adding some of the original’s cut content and a horde mode! But the core gameplay mechanics feel very outdated and maybe instead of adding a multiplayer mode, more time should’ve been spent on updating the gameplay.
