The Huntsman: Winter’s Curse is a turn-based RPG without the deep upgrade systems and gripping stories you’ve seen in other games within the genre.

6 / 10.0 - InnerSpace
Jan 17, 2018

The real shame is that is not enough to really make InnerSpace fun to play. At best it feels like a chore and at worst you'll want to snap your Switch in half. If you can grasp the flight controls and are looking for a nonlinear story games then InnerSpace is available now on the Nintendo Switch.

Despite some pretty visuals and colourful environments, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants is rather repetitive.

6 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones

Skull and Bones might have been a better game had it released sooner, but at it's fun combat is dampened by its rather dull progression.

6 / 10.0 - Foamstars

Foamstars has its moments, but the frantic gameplay, annoying dialogue, and microtransactions do little to keep you playing for long.

Gargoyles Remastered is too faithful to the original to make it fit on modern consoles, but the art style and music carry you through. The rewind feature helps with the challenge, but overall it feels pretty lifeless in today's day and age.

Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission is a short game, but the gunplay is a ton of fun and there's a fair bit of variety in enemies.

6 / 10.0 - Redfall

Redfall is hampered by issues like poor AI, texture pop-ins, and bland missions, meaning its stronger moments are overshadowed.

The Last of Us Part I on PC is still suffering from issues, and while most have been put to bed, it's still worth waiting a little longer.

While Jurassic World Aftermath Collection has some strong points, it doesn't quite do the game justice like it did in VR.

Life is Strange Arcadia Bay Collection features two great games, but the visuals leave a little to be desired. The story of Max and Chloe still hits you hard, but overall, it's let down by various texture and animation issues.

6 / 10.0 - NHL 22
Oct 27, 2021

NHL 22 is enjoyable, but feels very similar to last year despite using a new game engine. Too much focus has been put on implementing Superstar X-Factor abilities and little else.

The general presentation isn't anything special, the responsiveness isn't as tight as I'd hoped,  and the music featured does nothing to make me feel motivated whilst training, however, there's still a solid fitness experience that'll appeal to a lot of people who need that extra push over the Christmas period.

6 / 10.0 - Worms Rumble
Dec 4, 2020

Worms Rumble is fun at times, but with server issues and some weapons being overpowered, there are problems that need addressing or else people will fall off it too quickly.

6 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 21
Aug 31, 2020

Although Madden NFL 21 sees some improvements to its gameplay, and the enjoyable The Yard Mode makes an impressive debut, there's far too much that has been ignored. It feels more like an update than a fully blown follow-up, and it sucks that Franchise Mode has been left in the dirt.

Whilst Road to Guangdong does suffer from various gameplay issues and a laborious process of managing the upkeep of your car, its story is engaging and uplifting.

6 / 10.0 - Iron Man VR

Iron Man VR gives you a great sense of freedom as you fly around the skies of various cities, but the levels and combat becomes repetitive rather quickly.

6 / 10.0 - Creepy Tale
Jul 15, 2020

Creepy Tale never relies on typical puzzle tropes, and has a wonderful art style that is both unsettling and beautiful in equal measure. It's to clever for its own good, and the amount of times you'll struggle far outweighs the enjoyment of solving the mystery of your missing brother.

Red Wings: Aces of the Sky is filled with over 50 missions, and although there's plenty to do and the controls are easy to get used to, it does become repetitive after a while.
