Root Film is an excellent example of visual mystery novels. With an impeccably conducted storyline, its story has very interesting cases and the voices help to give the necessary drama to the events. Thanks to this, the small problems are practically irrelevant and anyone looking for a good game of the genre is likely to have guaranteed fun.

Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 1 is a great collection that includes most of the must-haves from the SNK handheld. However, the Metal Slug games still suffer from noticeable lag, which hurts their inclusion. Despite that, retro gamers and those who love SNK fighters should own this little piece of magic handheld history.
Anodyne 2: Return to Dust is a surprisingly fascinating game. Merging 3D and 2D gameplay, it offers a vast world for exploration and fascinating microcosms that allow the player to sift through the feelings and obsessions of New Terreland residents. Despite some small problems, it is an adventure game whose universe is thought-provoking and invites the player to dive into its history.

In general, Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited is a double package that is certainly worthwhile for those who want to try good examples of dungeon RPGs. Both veterans and newcomers to the genre can have a lot of fun with both games, even though their low budget and small bad design decisions end up weakening the overall quality a little.

For more fervent fans of the genre, Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV: Diplomacy and Strategy Expansion Pack can be a rich treasure to explore. However, the dedication necessary to understand the significant actions in the complex tangle of the game makes it difficult to enjoy it for almost any other type of player.

Overall, if I had to describe Everhood in a single word, it’d be “experiment.” It’s a game that tests interesting concepts to become its own thing. Combining adventure with RPG-Esque mechanics and an enjoyable take on rhythm combat that offers a unique experience for any looking for something new.
Even more than the previous game, Code: Realize ~ Wintertide Miracles ~ is a work entirely dependent on its predecessors. For those who haven't played them yet, the title has little to offer. However, for those who already love the characters and would like to extend their time with Cardia and her boyfriends / friends, it's guaranteed fun.

Loop Hero has all the right ingredients for an adventure management game with roguelike systems. There’s a learning curve to tackle, but after a few runs, you’ll be piecing together the world in no time. The entire experience is cathartic in a way as you watch the world evolve from your actions and overcome its obstacles with a little skill and luck.
Bravely Default II is one of the best RPGs available on the Switch, featuring a combination of engaging and well-conducted narrative with solid gameplay full of interesting mechanics. The experience is even superior to its predecessors, which were already high-quality works of the genre. Both those who took advantage of Bravely Default and Bravely Second and players who did not venture into the Luxendarc journey should give this masterpiece a chance.

Cultist Simulator: Initiate Edition can be described as an exotic combination. The game mixes resource management, cards and narrative with obscure aspects, but the result is a title that stumbles on a vague and obtuse experience. Even so, it offers a very peculiar dark atmosphere, which can motivate players to plunge headlong into the gameplay based on trial and error.

Gal * Gun Returns is a curious and fun mix of shooting game with dating sim. Even though the premise of shooting girls thirsty for the protagonist may seem a little weak, the title offers a solid experience. With more polish, this remastered edition could have better demonstrated its qualities, but it was not this time.

Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen is an excellent combination of visual novel and strategic RPG. Despite minor missteps in the course of the story, the game is in fact a classic full of charm and fans of Japanese games in general should explore it.

Skul: The Hero Slayer is a very interesting action game. While the head changing system offers good variety, area patterns are strongly repetitive. The experience, however, is quite positive and I am sure that fans of roguelike games will be able to appreciate it, especially if they do not play it in Brazilian Portuguese.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy manages to present improvements in all aspects in relation to the previous game, consolidating itself as one of the highlights of the series. While the previous game had the difficult task of presenting a world of new possibilities, Ryza 2 was also in the complicated position of reinforcing the qualities of its predecessor - the game achieved that goal perfectly. For those who are curious, but have not yet played the predecessor, I recommend checking both in chronological order for a better experience.

Heaven’s Vault is an engaging journey in many ways. It is not just the exploration of a galaxy, but also the stories of people and Aliya herself. The performance on the Switch makes the version not the most suitable, but even so, it is an indispensable title for anyone interested in games with a strong narrative load.

Olija is a game that thrives in its Asian fantasy atmosphere and well-realized gameplay. The story and soundtrack are artistic and evoke special moods, while the combat and exploration are a neat and interesting package. The journey is short and sweet and only held back by a few stumbles in its narrative delivery.
In general, Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne brings an interesting addition to the universe of the series of light novels and anime. Although linear, its well-developed story, captivating characters and the good use of voices and 2D visuals make the title a good visual novel. Even with a little underdeveloped gameplay, that alone makes the game worthwhile and made me very interested in delving deeper into the universe of Re: Zero.

Autumn’s Journey is a short but fun adventure. For fans of otome games who are looking for a simple game set in a fantasy world, it is certainly a good choice. However, there is a feeling that the setting could have been explored a little more.

Ultra Hat Dimension is a game without great qualities. With a focus on gameplay, it fails to deliver really interesting puzzles, oscillating between the boredom of more than fifty obvious levels and only a handful of challenging areas. For people looking for a casual retro-style puzzle, there are much better options on the market.

Hero and a Garden is a short and simple game that combines visual novel with clicker elements. The world is captivating and with few characters, offering a surprisingly engaging and quickly developed narrative. If on the one hand the gameplay is tedious, on the other hand it is a work that I was very happy to have the opportunity to check out and that I think is worth playing for those looking for just a small casual narrative experience.
