Bustafellows is a great representative of the fascinating stories visual novels can tell. The narrative features a strong lead and a cast of handsome boys with dark pasts that create this endearing tale. Still, it’s a story on society’s shortcomings, which makes it relatable in many ways as we ask ourselves what would cause us to take matters into our own hands. While some design choices seem odd in this release, this otome is an easy recommendation from me.
The Silver Case 2425 brings together two text-focused adventure games that experiment with the possibilities of the format. Unfortunately, The Silver Case is a complicated work and its text could be made clearer so that more people could enjoy it. However, it's still a worthwhile experience for anyone who enjoys narrative games.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a very detailed RPG that manages to take advantage of the fundamental elements of the series to create a captivating experience. Without a doubt, it is one of the best titles available on the market, especially when it comes to games focused on capturing creatures.

Taisho x Alice has a very interesting writing. All the characters stand out for their striking personalities, managing to offer romance, humor and dark elements in the right measure. Epilogue is a very satisfactory conclusion to the saga. Connecting the previous episodes more clearly, the final stretch isn't as shocking as the previous episode, but it is exactly what it needed to be for the conclusion.

Angels with Scaly Wings manages to combine very well a sci-fi narrative and dragon romance. Although some plot elements are less developed than they should be, it is a well-developed and captivating visual novel. Anyone interested in the premise is likely to have a great time.

Out of Line doesn’t break the mold of adventure games but still manages to offer a straightforward puzzle experience through a gorgeous hand-painted world. There’s fun to found during each movement of gameplay, but the lack of challenge and the minimalistic narrative doesn’t make for an engaging time. It’s a low-impact puzzle adventure that could easily be enjoyed for a nice afternoon game session.
World’s End Club tells an interesting story that is consistent with its creators and brings a beautiful story of friendship between a group of children. However, its platform gameplay is too weak, not adequately exploiting the possibilities offered with short and simple stages. Fans of Kodaka and Uchikoshi can have fun and overlook the issues, but both have worked on much better titles before.

Wave Break is a title that could be quite interesting for skateboarding game fans who want something a little more exaggerated in tone. However, the single player experience turns out not to be all that interesting for someone who is a complete newcomer to the genre. Furthermore, the game still needs more polishing and more content to really be a good example of an extreme sports game.

Kowloon High-School Chronicle is a curious RPG that experiments with its format in many ways. Despite an unfair system of choices based on emotions, this is a unique work within the genre and worth checking out.

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers is an excellent action game with a good bit of comedy. Even for those who don't have much contact with the genre, it offers guaranteed fun. With its simple and accessible combat, it proves that fighting giant aliens can be a great way to de-stress.

Mighty Goose is a guns-blazing run-and-gunner that wears its Metal Slug inspiration on its sleeve. With hectic combat and a colorful design, it’s a fun action experience that knows how to use its comedy vein well. If you’ve ever felt the need to play as a powerful space goose, your prayers have been answered.
Days Gone is a good action game in which the player must deal with hordes of zombies and try to survive, managing their inventory as much as possible. Although its history and gameplay are generic, its technical performance on the PC is commendable, and it is worth checking out for those who like action games.

Despite gameplay problems, Poison Control is quite a fun game. The title covers heavy topics in everyday life (like personal hells) and the poison purification mechanic, in particular, is really very peculiar, bringing a unique game within the genre. With a little more polish, it would be an excellent game, but it's still worth it for those who enjoy stylized and experimental games.

Essays on Empathy is a glance at Deconstructeam’s history. The games are clever and enjoyable, showing the team’s auteur tone as they explore different gameplay styles. People fond of unique, experimental games are likely to enjoy this collection, though some would have benefitted from developing their concepts further.
The House in Fata Morgana: Dreams of the Revenants Edition is an excellent visual novel that tells an engaging and exciting story. With a very well-built atmosphere thanks to its unique artistic style and its high-quality soundtrack, it is a masterpiece of the genre. As a compilation, the Switch edition is an excellent way to enjoy the game.

SaGa Frontier Remastered is a definitive edition of the classic PS1 RPG. Made with great care, it manages not only to present small graphical improvements but also to add relevant content. Its quality of life elements make the experience much more palatable, but even players who want to revisit the game in the original way on modern platforms can adapt it to their own way.

Atelier Mysterious Trilogy DX is the lowest point of the franchise. While Lydie & Suelle present a better structured game, the first two try to experiment with the formula, but end up making problematic design decisions. Firism, in particular, has a nasty bug that can prevent the player from taking the final exam. Fans of the series are likely to have fun with the titles in their own way, but the new edition is also not justified for those who originally played the trilogy.

Generally speaking, the Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind PC port is very solid. With several adjustment options, it is easy to adapt the action RPG for a good experience. In addition, the game itself brings a fluid and interesting combat that demonstrates very well the series' evolution over the time.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is an expensive package (priced above the 1.5 + 2.5 collection) and difficult to recommend to anyone who hasn't plunged into the franchise. For fans who haven't had the opportunity to play it yet, there is a small, yet interesting, exclusive content to explore. Unfortunately, the PC version specifically has few graphical configuration options, weakening the appeal of having access to this version.

Scarlet Hood and the Wicked Wood is a solid adventure game. It features gorgeous art and intuitive puzzles with the curious concept of multiple paths depending on your actions. A few mechanics could definitely be refined with added optimization, but fans of the genre will easily have fun during this adventure as Scarlet.
