1 / 10.0 - NERF Legends
Jan 22, 2022

Nerf Legends colossally fails as a product, game, or anything else it tried to be. It can't even be enjoyable or dumb enough to at least be funny. It wouldn't even be worth it if it was free to play. And if it was, maybe it had a chance because of the multiplayer. It's even a bad advertising for a cool toy that exists in the real world.

9.5 / 10.0 - Windjammers 2
Jan 20, 2022

Windjammers 2 is a perfect sequel. While honoring its origins, it renews and revitalizes an arcade experience that remains extremely fun, competitive, and exciting. Another excellent job by Dotemu in rescuing a game we didn't know we needed so much.

7.5 / 10.0 - RPGolf Legends
Jan 15, 2022

We have here a mixture that curiously works where it really needs it. It's an RPG adventure with charisma and a fun golf game. The use of mechanics and peculiarities of each genre complement each other in a way that makes RPGolf Legends an authentic “action RPGolf”.

As a game, Clockwork Aquario is a clearly dated product that would have little room in the modern world, now extremely bloated with daily released games, something that couldn't be conceived back in the day. However, it's a valuable historical piece from a time that feels nostalgic, and still inspires people who develop and create games nowadays.

8 / 10.0 - Heavenly Bodies
Dec 17, 2021

Despite the various tantrums I had during the journey, Heavenly Bodies proved to be a different and fun experience. Here we have an interesting combination of activities in the form of puzzles that play with physics in an ingenious and creative way, testing the player's patience and astuteness when solving problems that seem simple but become complicated in space.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! is a good addition to the beat ’em up genre but it doesn't bring much value to the genre itself compared to other titles released in the last few years. It's clearly more intended for casual players and a good experience for fans of the Goscinny & Uderzo comics. It lacks a healthy swig of magic potion to make the game really powerful.

7.5 / 10.0 - Chorus
Dec 4, 2021

Chorus is a good mix for those who enjoy the science fiction genre, as well as a great choice for those who love action games with a lot of combat, agility and challenge. Easily one of the best of the year for those looking for action in the space pilot genre.

In the end, my experience with Treasures of the Aegean was mixed. At first, it was a little weird, getting more interesting after a few loops and, by the end, it was a little confusing as I learned what to do to advance through the game along with the heroine. It's compelling for those who love exploration and puzzles demanding a healthy dose of dedication for those who wish to unveil the mysteries of Thera.

Having Mr. DRILLER DrillLand back and available to a wide range of players is something to behold as it is a cute, fun, colorful and upbeat game that is a treat for puzzle fans. Like every amusement park, our intention is always to come back to play a little more. Historically, it also rescues the legacy of Namco (now Bandai Namco), a company that has made industry history with titles that have always focused on delivering the core of an electronic game: challenge and fun.

5.5 / 10.0 - Backbone
Nov 14, 2021

Once again, I'll reinforce the praise I made to the game's art direction, one of its most powerful aspects. Other than that, the nonsensical script and the abandonment of gameplay elements that could be put to much better use make the Backbone experience, overall, disappointing and worth keeping as a bad memory.

8 / 10.0 - Evertried
Oct 21, 2021

Evertried is further proof that Brazil has the potential for good games, especially in the indie scenario. Knowing that a game as good as this one was made here gives a little warmth to the heart. Also, it's a great addition to the roguelike genre.

What to talk about Tetris in 2021? Based on what I experienced in Tetris Effect: Connected, I can say that we have here one of the most remarkable presentations of a classic game that defies time. It's that old game that still captivates, amuses and challenges. A worthy game for puzzle fans in a vigorous and technically perfect experience of an eternal classic.

Ember Lab showed enormous competence with Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the first game in its history. A beautiful plot that transports us to a whole new world and a game with challenges and activities that will please everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they can bring in the future, whether in the form of a sequel or even a new narrative.

8.5 / 10.0 - UnMetal
Sep 29, 2021

UnMetal is, by far, one of the best games I had the pleasure of trying out in 2021: it's plenty of fun, it offers just the right challenge, and it has the best script that will ever be shown in a movie or TV series. A medal of honor for this true war hero.

7 / 10.0 - Ultra Age
Sep 22, 2021

Ultra Age is an excellent title for those who are looking for action inspired by classics of the hack ’n’ slash genre, but who don't want to be stuck with the familiar games of this genre. Its biggest highlight is a fluid, fast and addictive gameplay full of style and effects that fill the eyes. The plot and visuals aren't her strongest point, but that's a detail you can wipe away to really enjoy the game.

Even with so many details that leave us with that feeling of "they could have done this/that" to give it a little extra breath, id Software opted for the right to keep the original experience as a priority in this relaunch. It's always nice to see old faces back in the crowd, even if they're all battered and bleeding. Rejoice, nineties! Quake is back and remains authentic.

6.5 / 10.0 - RiMS Racing
Aug 26, 2021

RiMS Racing is the kind of product that follows to the letter the rule of simulators: it's a niche game. The lack of options that would turn it more attractive to casual players limits those who will really appreciate the game. My experience wasn't one of the best, but there were moments I really enjoyed piloting a Superbike, something I'd never do in real life. If you're looking for an alternative to Ride, MXGP and similar titles, RiMS Racing may not be the option for you. This is the kind of game for people who really enjoy, live and breathe motorcycle racing.

I confess that my expectations for Aliens: Fireteam Elite were low. I was already expecting another random game hitchhiking on Fox's license, but I had fun obliterating xenomorphs with my rifle—aside the pleasure of toasting several aliens at once with a flamethrower. Despite the constant repetitiveness, it's fun and challenging in an honest and addictive way. As a fan of the movies — the original trilogy, okay? — I salute this game, it deserves.

6.5 / 10.0 - Cris Tales
Aug 5, 2021

Beautiful and charming, but not worth everything it appeared to be. Adapting the lyrics of the popular song, this is how I see 'Cris Tales' after my unpleasant experience with a title in one of the genres I like the most. Merits for the beautiful art and care in giving voice to all the characters, as well as interesting uses of time and a script that is shaped by the player. The same Time that makes the heroine shine is very poorly used outside the game, with excessive loading screens, slow pace of combat and the infamous grinding, which make us lose even more of this valuable resource that rules our lives.

Batbarian: Testament of the Primordials is what I might call shallow metroidvania. It doesn't take advantage of everything the genre has to offer, but presents enough to have what a game needs: fun and challenge. It would hardly be on my best-of-the-genre list, but the humor and the soundtrack will have a place in my memory and may prompt me to play it one more time.
