Critic Reviews for Cursed to Golf
A polished, witty mix of golf sim, platformer, and roguelike that offers sterling value for money but can't quite overcome an increasing sense of repetition.
Cursed To Golf is a brilliant golf game that plays like a wildly experimental precision-platformer.
Un originale mix fra platform, golf e roguelike masochisticamente capace di farsi amare e odiare allo stesso tempo.

Cursed to Golf is a very unique golf Roguelike, but balance issues and a few too many tutorials will put some off.
Cursed to Golf is a great idea for a game. It’s a very difficult 2D golf game with precise controls. Although it’s a Roguelike, I enjoyed it less like I enjoyed Hades, and more like I enjoyed Super Meat Boy. I just can’t believe there are no multiplayer options! And there are some bugs that need fixing. Playing Cursed to Golf was great fun for a few hours, but as a single-player-only experience, I’m not sure how many players will be captivated long enough to try to conquer all 18 holes.
Cursed to Golf puts a unique twist on the golf formula. Combine that with a charming aesthetic, and the combination makes for a good time for the right audience. Unfortunately, it doesn't go enough into that twist and relies heavily on the game of golf to carry the day. Then making the game of golf into a rogue-like further specifies the fanbase. While a fun spin on a beloved sport, it still requires a lot of love of the sport to stick with it.
The game nails just about everything it sets out to do. The pixelated graphics are vibrant and varied, the writing is witty and macabre, and the music is fantastic – albeit repetitive. All aspects of the title come together harmoniously, creating an unexpectedly fun and funny roguelike with a refreshingly unique premise.
