7 / 10.0 - Brave's Rage
Feb 20, 2023

Brave’s Rage is a noteworthy roguelike due to the variety of cards and skills we can combine in our matches. The traditional repetition of the genre is alleviated by the frequent addition of heroes and the adventure's condition changes. However, some card and item choices can compromise the experience significantly making it less appealing to the players.

WHALIEN - Unexpected Guests has a proposal that may not please the most demanding players. It's a short game with simple and creative challenges, but it suffers from boring and problematic platforming sections. The physics-based puzzles are the highlight of the title and the characters and settings help make them more attractive. Overall, it's a good recommendation for kids who are starting to venture into the gaming world.

8 / 10.0 - RE:CALL
Feb 2, 2023

RE:CALL is an excellent mystery game that combines an engaging story with well-crafted gameplay. The game fluctuates at its pace, with its second half presenting a dynamic very different from what was proposed at the beginning, but the final balance is very positive. The characters are well built, the soundtrack is wonderful and the way the mysteries unfold from our choices makes it an excellent game.

8 / 10.0 - Potion Craft
Jan 16, 2023

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator is a simulator that, despite being simple, delivers a solid and creative challenge for players. Its dynamics are perfect to be that game to pass the time and relax a little, and its soundtrack and graphics make the game much more enjoyable. Despite becoming repetitive over time, it is recommended for anyone who likes a more relaxed and accessible management experience.

9 / 10.0 - Kynseed
Dec 29, 2022

Even with many similarities in relation to some simulators, Kynseed has a lot of personality to stand out among the 2022 releases. Its proposal of being a relaxing game is well executed thanks to its magnificent setting and its simple and well-mapped controls that allow the exploring and navigating between its various menus is not tiring and frustrating. Despite having some slips, it's an adventure worth playing and replaying in different ways, because from the first minutes of the game we make decisions that impact our story. It's a must-buy for fans of farm games.

Two Point Campus: Space Academy is an expansion that matches what was proposed in the base game. The space theme fits very well into the game, mainly because it maintains the visual quality, the creativity of the courses and keeps the management challenge well balanced even with the different spaces for building and expanding your university. However, it's possible that the content isn't impactful enough to appeal to the more casual Two Point Campus players. The base game already has a sufficient amount of content to satisfy the less demanding and the DLC, despite the quality, does not present itself as a relevant element to justify its purchase.

5 / 10.0 - Soccer Story
Dec 7, 2022

With a little more care, Soccer Story could fight among the big teams and stand out among the other games; however, it is just a supporting player among the rest.

7 / 10.0 - Lunistice
Nov 16, 2022

Lunistice is a captivating work that stands out for its eye-catching and colorful graphics and its simple, dynamic gameplay. Though some stages have confusing designs, the adventure as a whole is really satisfying and fun. Even if not brilliant, Lunistice is a great option for nostalgic fans of the 32-bit era and speedrunners.

7.5 / 10.0 - Against The Storm
Nov 8, 2022

Against the Storm features a simple yet well-executed city building system. The gameplay is accessible and the quick matches make the development of the adventure dynamic and fun. Even with the limited variety of missions and scenario events, future updates promise to add a lot of content for players and make it a standout among its genre.

8.5 / 10.0 - Potionomics
Oct 18, 2022

Potionomics has simple but multi-layered mechanics that make it robust enough to keep it interesting until the end. In addition, the characters are well developed, especially their animations, overflowing with charisma during the dialogues. The negotiation mechanics using cards is the highlight, and it is possible to devise many different strategies to increase the products' value. However, the lack of Portuguese localization is a negative point, mainly because it is a game based on text and dialogues with choices. Also, the first few hours of the campaign may interfere with the player's interest in continuing with the game due to the unbalanced difficulty. Even with these problems, Potionomics is quite competent in what it offers and is certainly one of the most positive surprises of 2022.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Outbound Ghost
Sep 29, 2022

The Outbound Ghost is a well-crafted project with a competent execution from a small dev team. The sceneries have a lot of repeated elements and exploration is oftentimes monotonous, but combat is a highlight due to the variety of Figments and it's fun to devise various strategies based on its elements. The story develops in an interesting way and helps keep the player engaged. It isn't an impressive game but it's worth giving it a try.

Return to Monkey Island is a tight hug for fans of the series. The game features familiar mechanics from the original games with the addition of elements that make the adventure more intuitive and dynamic. Despite its accessibility, it will hardly be as attractive to those who don't know the details of Monkey Island's history, being a product intended mainly for older fans of the series. But that doesn't take away from its shine. All elements of the game manage to captivate the player in the story brilliantly. It's a light, innocent and funny adventure that oozes charisma in all its aspects, just like in its first games.

No Place for Bravery takes a serious and mature look at the hopes and fears of a father searching for his missing daughter. Every aspect of the game competently fits together to create a gripping story, as well as presenting a richly detailed and very interesting mythology. Despite occasional bugs and inaccuracy in the platform sections, this game is highly recommended for those looking for a moving story and challenging combat.

8.5 / 10.0 - Two Point Campus
Aug 19, 2022

Two Point Campus has arrived to show that Two Point Studios has a good idea in hand and is able to adapt it to different administrative realities. The game offers a solid management challenge without losing the light and relaxed essence proposed by its predecessor.

Aug 15, 2022

The Tarnishing of Juxtia tries to add good ideas to the already traditional mechanics of soulslike. The main one is the haste system that helps break the monotony of combat and allows the player to be more active and less reactive to enemies. However, the exploration leaves something to be desired for the inaccurate and tedious platforming snippets, and some of its ideas are underdeveloped to the point of being almost useless. Overall, The Tarnishing of Juxtia is a good game despite its issues. However, it will hardly attract the attention of players, as it does not present really striking mechanics that make it stand out among other games of the genre.

Out There: Oceans of Time takes very interesting ideas for space exploration. There are many planets and random events that make the whole adventure unique and its simple gameplay makes everything very accessible. Despite this, the game needs a rebalancing of its actions, as the difficulty becomes excessively high for no reason. Overall, the game is fun, challenging and, if it depends on the developers, has everything to improve.

Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy is extremely bold in adopting the procedural system in virtually every element of its gameplay. I certainly haven't seen a good part of its possibilities and it's impossible to say what your adventure will be like and this is its greatest merit. Even playing several times, your adventure will always be unique and exclusively yours. Your world is alive and full of color and seeing your actions interfere with the passing of the years makes it all very natural. The small glitches in combat and camera don't detract from the game's shine and it's well worth a try.

9.5 / 10.0 - Soundfall
May 26, 2022

Soundfall is one of the most pleasant surprises I've had with games. Despite suffering from low variety of enemies and repetitive level design, the game very competently encompasses the dungeon crawler structure with rhythmic combat. In addition, the songs are of an impressive quality, matching perfectly with the environment in which it was designed.

6.5 / 10.0 - Wildcat Gun Machine
May 17, 2022

Wildcat Gun Machine has its merits. Its proposal works well for an uncompromising game and the frenetic dose of action entertains for a while. Perhaps its biggest problem is not daring, abusing simplicity in its combat. Despite not compromising in practice, the absence of history disappoints and, in this sense, the game loses the chance to captivate the player more. So, it's only recommended for those who like action games with high difficulty, but it's better not to create too much expectation.

8 / 10.0 - Samurai Bringer
May 6, 2022

Samurai Bringer makes great use of the variety of alternatives to create unique combat sessions. The dynamics of testing different combinations of moves is extremely fun and encourages the player's creativity. On the other hand, the common scenarios and enemies leave a lot to be desired because of the little variety of elements. Overall, despite its simplicity, it's an excellent alternative for fans of the genre.
