Borderlands has many of the same features, but Tiny Tina's Wonderlands adds new ones, like spells that are useful throughout the story. One of the game's most notable aspects is the uniqueness of its conversation and the presence of Tina as its Dungeon Master. Expansion for Borderlands 3, however, would have been much better off as an expansion since it's too short to justify the price tag and too lengthy to cover up a lack of fresh ideas.
Weird West is one of the rare role-playing games where players genuinely change the environment with their actions and choices. The considerable potential and ambitions of the game collide with the scope and funding, which reflected inadequacy, yet WolfEye Studios delivered a game that offers a unique experience.
This first title from developer Thinking Stars is a mixed bag. Some of it works, while others don't. It's as though the game is only the beginning of something greater, like an anime pilot or a prequel to a novel. Its stunning 2.5D pixel graphics and deceptive depth get obscured by its overly complicated story and unpredictable course of Ann's journey.
MLB The Show 22 is probably the best release of this series. MLB: The Show, in terms of yearly sporting games, sticks to being a comprehensive simulator with a wide range of features to attract a wider range of players. Even with a few new features like online co-op and commentary, I can't deny that this is largely the same game as last year.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök isn't a bad game, but it isn't particularly fantastic either. You can still have a good time with Dawn of Ragnarök if you're still craving Valhalla after hours of gameplay. Svartalfheim is a gorgeous place to wander around, although it has nothing to do with Assassin's Creed.
It is difficult to suggest Postal 4: No Regerts, even to the most diehard fans of this series, due to so many technical issues with the game. It fails to lift the bar in any aspect where it might be deemed a playable game.
Shadow Warrior 3 felt like a significant step down from the excellent Shadow Warrior 2, and it's a tremendous disappointment and a squandered chance to improve the franchise and get it out of its rut. Even when things go well, Lo Wang's irritating attitude makes it difficult to take pleasure in them. He is constantly pounding our ears with silly one-liners and awful acting, and even the bosses aren't fun to confront.
MotoGP 22 accomplishes an incredible simulation in terms of playability, and only a few games will be able to replicate the authentic sense that we had when playing the game. However, several key things are lacking to make us thrilled with this year's edition. There's hardly any doubt that the series has reached a decent level; however, this year's improvements over the previous versions are still insufficient to consider this release a landmark.
Even though Salt and Sacrifice is a good game, many adjustments have been made that take away from the game's unique character while favoring more formulaic gameplay. It's a game that, in general, is enjoyable and entertaining, but its accomplishments are weighed down by several innovations that stay instead of contributing, giving the feeling that it has gone a step backward.
Despite its many flaws, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong somewhat lives up to its central promise: to provide players with a wealth of decision-making opportunities and the repercussions and outcomes of those decisions. You will always feel compelled to give it a go, even though it will require you to endure some of its less elegant aspects.
Sniper Elite 5 falls short of its primary influence, but it also falls within its own merits. Its restricted level design, weak features, and perplexing A.I. make it a terrible stealth game only momentarily improved by its repetitive sniper tactics. Sniper Elite's essential components of tact and stealth remain, but the game's balancing flaws have been addressed, allowing players to concentrate on the game's primary appeal: enjoyment. Fun exists in the game, but it's not where you want it.
Evil Dead: The Game is for franchise fans, and those who like games that need players to work together to complete objectives will treasure it. While there is space for improvement across the board, the game is still a gratifying experience right out of the gate.
The Quarry may not be quite as memorable as Until Dawn. Although it shares many stereotypes with Until Dawn, the game remains an entertaining watch despite its resemblance. It's undoubtedly a game that keeps you on the edge of your seat with its combination of mystery and dread. On the other hand, it's far from bringing any revolution to this genre in terms of gameplay elements.
Neon White creates a very intriguing experience by incorporating aspects from a wide variety of genres and combining them. The game is a fast-paced, card-based first-person shooter speedrunner and a visual novel dating simulation. It creates an outstanding balance that skillfully integrates a collection of different threads. For anybody with a Nintendo Switch, Neon White is an essential title to keep an eye on, and if you're looking for a game that will push you at every step, it's a must-have.
Diablo Immortal is a pleasant surprise for the most part. The franchise spirit inspired me to keep pushing forward until I got to the endgame material, where it became apparent that the whole thing had been a ploy to lure me into a cruel business scheme. Aside from the few flaws with the PC version, an overabundance of microtransactions and user interface distract the game's overall impression. This ordeal has been a roller coaster ride for me, and I'm glad to be out of it.
The Hand of Merlin provides an intriguing and captivating experience despite its graphical shortcomings. It's undoubtedly a challenging game while unique in many ways and an excellent take on the roguelike experience. There is a good balance between the game's fighting system and its overworld area. The plot will enthrall fans of the Arthurian legend, while RPG and strategy gamers will get engrossed by its gameplay.
If you're searching for a short chuckle or like ridiculous scenarios, House Party delivers both with its witty language and adult-oriented subject matter, making it a fun experience overall. If, on the other hand, you're hoping for an experience that encompasses more than simply drugs, females, and liquor, then you shouldn't play this game.
It's unlikely that Outriders Worldslayer will sway the opinions of those not already captivated by this third-person looter shooter. There is enough fun in the fierce front-foot fighting, but many of the game's fundamental problems are still apparent. Although Worldslayer's amount of content may not be sufficient to warrant the asking price, the game is undeniably enjoyable.
As Dusk Falls is a game that shouldn't be missed playing, despite the override system being a bit of chaos. Even while the gameplay does not involve revolutionary breakthroughs, it indeed ensures that the players remain on their toes throughout. First and foremost, however, how well the audiovisual style works in conjunction with this production cannot be overstated. It's a highly replayable game with many different paths its plot may go.
Bright Memory: Infinite has much to offer, and its shooting is consistently fluid. The only problem with such a technically stunning game is that it lasts for an absurdly short amount of time. Despite its short size, the game's visuals and combat mechanism align it with some of the genre's most notable titles.
