Critic Reviews for Mighty Fight Federation

Mighty Fight Federation is a wild and wacky 3D arena fighter with more complexities than its subgenre normally has. While this unfortunately causes it to lose its identity and muddle its gameplay, the free-for-all fighting mode and wonderful music is worth the asking price.

I would pass on Mighty Fight Federation despite the huge amounts of charm this game has. Even the music is good. Unfortunately, it’s just an unbalanced mess.

The single-player Arcade mode is good, and the Missions have a lot of difficulty headroom, but it will sting a little to pay full price if you don’t have an opportunity for multiplayer. Mighty Fight Federation nevertheless remains a very interesting proposition for fighter fanatics craving a new set of mechanics to explore. Assuming the Switch online community grows, or if you have players ready for local fisticuffs, it will scratch an itch other fighters can’t reach.

Mighty Fight Federation is a game that, despite its many criticalities, could be fun and rewarding if lived with a casual spirit, without too many pretensions. The problem is that in a videogame market like the current one you have to stand out from the crowd so as not to be terribly overwhelmed, and unfortunately the game in question lacks that necessary charisma. An enjoyable game but of which very little remains imprinted in the hearts of the players who approach it, demonstrating that riding the success of a genre doesn’t ensure the success of your product if you’re unable to have a hold on the public thanks to your game’s appeal.

Mighty Fight Federation offers us a brawler of up to 4 players simultaneously with a strong emphasis on combos. The roster of players is decent and the incorporation of characters from external licenses offers a plus of variety, although more game modes are missing. The soundtrack is its strongest point and brings us well-known composers in the sector such as Manami Matsumae or Tee Lopes.
