Critic Reviews for Astro Aqua Kitty
Overall, we’d say that if you enjoyed Aqua Kitty UDX, then you’re likely going to enjoy Astro Aqua Kitty, too. Heck, even if you didn’t play the first game, we’d still recommend checking this one out. It’s a solid shoot-em-up, and while it doesn’t feel as immediately engaging or replayable as its predecessor, it’s nevertheless a fun ride throughout.
But ultimately Astro Aqua Kitty blasts its way to PS5 with panache. With its Metroidvania formula, light RPG elements, strong presentation, and slick retro synth music, this is an old-school outing that manages to also feel contemporary.
Astro Aqua Kitty adds some Metroidvania-lite elements to the shooter components of its predecessor, Aqua Kitty, and it's all the better for it. A few decisions keep this from being an instant classic, like similar-looking zones and limited locations for loadout swapping, but nothing inherently gets in the way of the good times that Astro Aqua Kitty puts in front of you.
Astro Aqua Kity is a super-fun shooter, with great audio and visuals along with fluid gameplay and spot-on action. There are a lot of options to keep even the fussiest player happy during this tough but enjoyable undersea adventure. Check it out!
Astro Aqua Kitty shows that a 2D game with nostalgic atmosphere and gameplay, can still provide a really fun experience by improving the mechanisms that were first introduced decades ago. it's an enjoyable game.

Astro Aqua Kitty surprises by being a new release for Sony's little handheld in 2021, that despite having some serious flaws, it could entertain a few players still willing to buy new games for the platform.

If you're looking for an intuitive arcade shooting adventure with rewarding RPG elements and a satisfying sense of exploration then you'll love what Astro Aqua Kitty has in store. Just make sure you stock plenty of weapons to deal with its impressively tough bosses.
Astro Aqua Kitty is an apparently unpretentious title that won me over for its quality and addictive gameplay. At one point, I didn't even care about the story anymore, focusing my attention on exploring every corner of the different stages of the game just to make my submarine more and more perfect. A different and engaging shoot ‘em up.
