Stealthy movements, brutal takedowns, and a constant need to be aware of your surroundings abound

Aragami 2 improves on many aspects of the original. Listen mode enhances the flow of gameplay, moveable bodies grant the player additional stratagems and the modernised controls feel much better overall. Even though the combat mechanics are absolutely horrendous and the story/characters are as basic as it gets, Aragami 2 is still a great time for action and stealth game fans alike.

Stealth and action in a traditional scheme, multiplayer up to three, bathed under an interesting Japanese aesthetic and history. Overall, a good title, although it does not quite stand out in its separate sections.

Aragami 2's persistent bugs, technical issues, and a lackluster presentation bog down what can otherwise be a fun and intricate stealth action game.

Aragami 2 will surely scratch any itch that you’re looking for within the stealth action genre. Laying waste to unsuspecting enemies with your buddies and jumping from rooftop to rooftop provides a certain sense of satisfaction. Unfortunately, however, the other systems can’t keep up with this action, leaving the narrative, AI, and overall game loop to simply exist in hopes the play doesn’t get lost in the shadows.

For all my complaints, Aragami 2 does pull off making you feel like a ninja rather well. Planning just the perfect route to ambush everyone one by one or slip in and out without disturbing anyone felt really satisfying. It manages to tread that fine line of letting you get away with more than is realistic while still making a perfect run challenging that makes a great stealth game. I just can’t help but feel they took a few gambles with changing things up from the original, and took a step backwards as a result.

Aragami 2, in addition to some of its minor flaws, has covered all the shortcomings of the first game and got a great sequel game.

Aragami 2 inherits some of the issues of the first episode and proves to be unsuitable for players with little patience or not accustomed to stealth titles; despite this, after the initial impact it manages to entertain us and give us good satisfaction, leading us in its fascinating oriental world. If you love action-stealth titles and this kind of environment, it is definitely worth a shot.
