Critic Reviews for TAPE: Unveil the Memories

‎With a story that has kept us glued to the screen from beginning to end, very ingenious puzzles and a very good taste to represent and reference the culture of Spain, TAPE: Unveil the Memories has been a pleasant surprise. If you like stories of intrigue and suspense with a hint of terror, you can't miss it.‎

Tape: Unveil the Memories has compelling elements, but they're overshadowed by some truly bad mechanics and dull monster encounters.

TAPE: Unveil the Memories is a decent-looking game, and it has a nice enough soundtrack, too. It’s just a shame that its blend of engaging puzzles and fairly accomplished storytelling are brought down by poor stealth sections that feel out of place. Still, it’s definitely worth a play if you enjoy a sordid tale full of twists of turns. You’ll just need a little patience and persistence to get through some of its encounters.

TAPE: Unveil the Memories is a pretty solid narrative story if you're into dark themes and exploring the subconscious.

Tape: Unveil the Memories immerses us in the past of Iria, a young Galician who lives with her mother and who will recall parts of her past that she thought had been forgotten to discover what happened to her father. Recommended.

Cowards who love horror games, rejoice! For in TAPE: Unveil The Memories we have a psychological thriller title that offers plenty of eerie ambiance without a total barrage of cheap jumpscares. Oh sure, there’s definitely a haunting tale to be had here, but one that will only raise the blood pressure a little bit. If you’re looking for a standard horror game experience, you’ll have to look elsewhere, but if you’re after a thriller game that offers an interesting puzzle mechanic and scintillating story full of secrets to uncover, TAPE: Unveil The Memories is just waiting for you to press play.

Tape: Unveil the Memories offers us a Playstation Talents tittle with a rather modest graphic section. However, it is a title that play quite well with mystery and narrative, making it very interesting and biting our curiosity to the point of making us want to play more to reveal different mysteries and aspects of the plot. Surely as survival horror it is a fairly limited and simple game, with few or almost no jump scares, in addition to traditional formulas already seen in other games, so if you are looking to be scared, I can't recommend it, but if you are just looking to have a good time, it will surely pleasantly surprise you.
