Critic Reviews for Dinosaur Fossil Hunter
While Dinosaur Fossil Hunter requires patches to fine-tune important mechanics like driving, digging, and cleaning, it will likely be a good fit for players wanting a satisfying fossil extraction game with attention to detail. It is also a great pick for kids who want to learn more about the realistic challenges of paleontology, and the process of getting dinosaur skeletons into museums.
Dinosaur Fossil Hunter has a solid foundation, but no amount of dinosaur enthusiasm can save this title from its repetitive gameplay loop.
An excellent core concept but lacklustre execution. Still enjoyable for those that love simulators and dinosaurs but should probably be missed by those that are unsure.
Dinosaur Fossil Hunter had a huge playground at its disposal, but the developers at Pyramid Games studio seem to have run out of steam. While the basic gameplay is not totally bad and could be improved via future updates, the functionality to skip some of the important steps of playing a paleontologist and completely counterintuitive for a simulation game. In addition, the technical problems, performance and art direction that offer only the minimum of visual effects prevent the title from standing out in the market. Despite being marketed at a low price, we find ourselves doing the same thing over and over again without any novelty after only a few hours of play. The experience is far from being up to par and what we could expect after a rather successful demo several months ago. Let's hope that the development team fixes the technical issues quickly to try not to end up like the dinosaurs.

Dinosaur Fossil Hunter is in a world of its own when it comes to simulators. This is simply one of the greatest simulators that I have ever played. When it comes to levels of detail and processes to follow the simulator does not want to stop. The museum interior design aspect in itself feels like its own game. For anybody that wants to experience being a palaeontologist or has a dino mad child in the household, this is a game you do not want to miss.
