Critic Reviews for Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels

It isn't as surprising and novel as it was the first time around, but Forza's high-speed brand of life-sized, toy-themed stunt racing is still a riotous good time.

Hot Wheels returns to Forza Horizon with more track types and an even larger map to speed through, but its strict progression is an unwelcome speed bump.

The Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels expansion is really easy to recommend if you enjoy Forza Horizon 5. It adds a brand new, Hot Wheels-themed region and 10 new Hot Wheels cars that you can earn for your collection. You’ll get hours of playtime from Hot Wheels park, from ranking up to Legend status to developing your own tracks in the creator. It’s worth noting that this Hot Wheels expansion is also quite a bit more enjoyable than the recently released Hot Wheels Unleashed game, which makes me wonder… when Playground Games are done exploring the world of Fable, maybe they should be tasked with a full-on Hot Wheels game. At any rate, I would highly recommend the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels expansion.

Forza Horison 5: Hot Wheels is a beautiful dive into the dreams of children who have been building tracks on tracks for decades. A sort of car-sized playground built to amaze from the very first moment, which however focuses too much on the glance and sacrifices on the altar of the scenography both the freedom of exploration of the base game and the beauty of its events. The spectacular expeditions of the festival are missing, as well as secondary events that increase the affection towards this new floating and intricate world. It is good that a different path has been tried than in the past but the experiment presents in our opinion some uncertainty.

Hot Wheels is just another excuse to prove the excellence of Forza Horizon 5. More hours, more content and more fun for everyone

Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels is the perfect example of a small expansion. It takes a new spin on the Horizon formula while its core remains the same, incredibly fun arcade racer. The new open world is a joy to explore and master, but sadly it can feel too much like an advertisement frequently.
