NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2 Reviews
Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol.2 is a perfectly able collection, albeit less enticing than the first volume. Several games in the library here - notably Card Fighters Clash, Mega Man Battle & Fighters, and Biomotor Unitron - have already received standalone releases on Switch eShop, which may well dissuade you from a purchase if you already own them. Die-hard fans of everything Neo Geo Pocket Color will likely enjoy getting stuck into what's here, but it's not a must-buy.
The majority of games featured in the NEOGEO Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2 are fun, while some fall flat. Overall, I think SNK released a solid selection of titles for volume 2 of this series with some added extra to boot, but they really do need to rethink that price point.
I wanted to enjoy NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol.2 a lot more than I did because I love retro game compilations. However, with a line-up that's sure to perplex and bore as opposed to entertain; it's tough to recommend this collection.
Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2 is still a pretty decent collection. It complements Volume 1 nicely, and shows that for a little-loved handheld with a small library, the Neo Geo Pocket Color had a pretty impressive collection of games.
There’s undoubtedly variety, and potentially nostalgia, here but outside of retro fans it may feel like slim pickings
NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2 has a few interesting titles but as a whole, there’s not enough to satisfy that price tag. You’re better off purchasing some of these titles separately and still spend less.
Ten games for £35 can’t be sniffed at, especially during times of budgetary constraints, but Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2 represents a disappointing step down from the first volume. A series of curiosities, average ports and games where the language barrier is an unfortunate turn-off make for a collection that will likely hold appeal for fans of the platform, but which I can’t heartily recommend to the masses.
NEOGEO POCKET COLOR SELECTION Vol.2 comes as a surprise just like its previous volume and offers us another 10 titles from SNK's ill-fated portable system. They highlight SNK VS. CAPCOM CARD FIGHTERS CLASH and MEGA MAN BATTLE & FIGHTERS but overall these 10 titles cover another important part of SNK's 16-bit laptop catalogue, and perfectly complement Vol.1. We hope that one day we will have a Vol.3 with the blue hedgehog as the protagonist.

Side-by-side with the first one, NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol. 2 has a more varied list of games and is as easy to recommend to anyone keen on experiencing one of the lesser known portables around. The games look good on the Switch screen and you sure can’t beat having them all packed up in one package to take on the go!
