Critic Reviews for Garden Of The Sea

It may be a tad plodding and poorly structured, but Garden of the Sea has its heart in the right place. It delivers on the most crucial component in that it's a very relaxing time. Anyway, it's tough to be sour about a game that lets you feed and pet adorable creatures in VR.

If you’re an Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley fan then this is a must buy: its peaceful setting, vibrant visuals, and freedom to explore and be creative when designing and decorating will keep you entertained for hours. It’s a shame that its main story is a little on the short side but with a fairly price point, its cost certainly won’t set you back as much as a trip to Diddly Squat Farm.

After playing Garden of the Sea for a while, it completely won me over with its downright adorable game world that I can't stop thinking about as well as its rewarding mechanics that are as fun to learn as they are intuitive to work with. What a fantastic VR experience!

Playing Garden of the Sea makes me happy. The combination of crafting, exploring, cultivating and puzzle-solving strikes the perfect balance and encourages the next step. Completing the main story is just the start, as you can then trade and decorate, design and create the perfect environment to chill out and relax in, with all the adorable creatures. There are just a few too many glitches to give Garden of the Sea our highest rating, but if you can cope with a first-person view, I would definitely recommend this cosy and wholesome game.

Garden of the Sea is a cute little game that allows you to build up the world around you. It’s friendly vibes make it easy to get lost in the moment as you find the ingredients and explore the world around you. Ultimately my review award for this game has been impacted by the glitches and crashing. It is still a good game and I would recommend it, but these bugs definitely get annoying to deal with. For this reason Garden Of The Sea gets the Thumb Culture Silver Award

Garden of the Sea may have succeeded as a VR experience, but this aquatic paradise has not transitioned well to the Switch.
