Everything it proposes is carried out with great ease and taking into account that it is the first title of this studio and that it is a game that we could classify as "indie" it is very surprising that the result is so good.

Despite its obvious shortcomings, it’s a fun time that would best be played by someone who jumps on for a few hours a week so that the game’s simplicity can remain charming rather than repetitive. I certainly can’t fault the developer’s ambition – there’s a lot of stuff packed into Kaku: The Ancient Seal, including some very cool ideas. I just think if the developers had taken a few things out and focused on a couple of their key ideas, Kaku could have been even better. Taken for what it is though, Kaku: The Ancient Seal is a charming ARPG with a strong Zelda vibe and a lot of heart.
KAKU: Ancient Seal is a tale of courage, discovery, and the enduring spirit of a young hero and his loyal companion. It is a journey through a world steeped in mystery and magic, where the stakes are nothing less than the restoration of a world torn apart by ancient forces. As Kaku inches closer to the truth, he realizes that his quest is not just about reuniting elemental souls but about understanding his place in a world that is both ancient and ever-changing.
Kaku Ancient Seal feels nostalgic for PS2 area adventure games featuring fantastic world-building and strong action-adventure mechanics. The game will take you in, invest you in its diverse and interesting world, and provide satisfying ways to grow your strength as you balance the elements and save the world from destruction.
The ambitious action platform of the Chinese studio Bingobell leaves early access, expanding and polishing a generic and aimless game, condemned to live behind its references.

KAKU: Ancient Seal is a captivating open-world RPG that successfully combines a rich narrative, combat, and immersive exploration. Its ancient fantasy setting, together with innovative gameplay mechanics, makes it a great title in the genre. Whether you’re a fan of epic quests and strategic combat or love exploring beautifully crafted worlds, KAKU: Ancient Seal is a journey worth undertaking.
But colour me impressed. When I think indie, I rarely think “open-world”, but BINGOBELL showed me that’s it’s possible to craft a great and ambitious adventure game without a large body count. KAKU: Ancient Seals is one of the best open-world indie games I’ve ever played and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for their fill of lush environments and challenging dungeoneering.
It all feels like someone grabbed a bunch of ideas and put them into a “Create your own PS2-era platformer” generator.
A vast and entertaining open world adventure, already polished and full of content in its early access version.
