Critic Reviews for Boxes: Lost Fragments
Boxes: Lost Fragments is a shining example of puzzle video gaming, wonderfully constructed and utterly absorbing.
Our only real reservation about Boxes: Lost Fragments is how close it is to The Room. But should we really chastise it for taking heavy inspiration from a classic puzzle game? Whatever the answer, we can’t deny that this is a beautiful, clever puzzle game that’s provided us with a few hours of engaging gameplay. The puzzles here are excellent, and it’s a visual treat.
Boxes: Lost Fragments is a beautiful, wondrous puzzler. Setting aside the thin narrative and short runtime, the creativity and attention to detail are remarkable.
Overall, Boxes: Lost Fragments is a fantastic puzzler; the only complaint I have, which isn’t really a complaint, is that I wish the game was longer. I was disappointed to be finished with the game after six hours of gameplay. I enjoyed it very much. If you enjoy these kinds of puzzle games, then Boxes: Lost Fragments will tick that box for you.
Boxes: Lost Fragments proves to be an immersive experience for puzzle lovers, providing moments of wonder at the creativity unfolded in each stage of the game. The combination of intriguing puzzles, captivating visual presentations and constant challenge keeps players immersed in a mysterious plot full of surprises. Despite some areas in which the creative whimsy may seem monotonous and the soundtrack is more discreet, the overall experience offered by the BigLoop Studios game is positive, providing satisfaction and that pleasant feeling when overcoming challenges.
