Critic Reviews for Crime Scene Cleaner

Cleaning up a bloody massacre requires a lot of washing floors, splashing the rarest liquid, searching for evidence, fixing items and putting them back or picking up trash or damaged items. Is it fun? Definitely yes.

Crime Scene Cleaner plunges you into a grim, yet darkly humorous world where your role is not that of a detective solving crimes, but of the unsung hero who arrives after the chaos: the cleaner. Not since Roger Wilco has a janitor’s job been so difficult (a reference for all the oldies among us!). The creators of this unconventional first-person simulation game, President Studio, offer a fresh perspective on the aftermath of crime. Your purpose here is not to find out what happened or apprehend the perpetrators; rather, it is to completely remove any evidence of the horrific crimes that have taken place. Nothing is too gory for you to manage, including blood, corpses, and fragments of bone.

Crime Scene Cleaner is an odd duck. It’s mix of Zen-inducing gameplay in some truly horrific crime scenes is delightful, though a lack of things to do post-campaign is a bummer.

Crime Scene Cleaner is unbelievably gruesome. The amount of blood and the disgusting nature of each location won’t be for everyone. Additionally, the use of drugs and crime may not appeal. However, if you can cope with virtual blood and the horrific nature of each chapter, you’ll adore every moment. I enjoyed it, and the fact that it’s on Game Pass makes it even better. Consequently, I think you should get your copy from the Xbox Store.
