Critic Reviews for Genso Manège

Underneath its pastel visuals, I was pleasantly surprised to find a gripping and emotional story about overcoming hardships and loss populated by a memorable cast. Genso Manège certainly adheres to “don’t judge a book by its cover” due to its hidden narrative depth alongside finely-tuned traditional visual novel elements and a fun optional puzzle mechanic, providing fellow romantasy junkies a new game to adore.

I can safely say that Genso Manège is a great otome game. Despite its font issues and some slight translation issues, they are minor, especially when compared to the other problems that I've seen with PQube's offerings from last year. The story and character design is also great.

There are a lot of good elements there in Genso Manège. There are also some tiny details that bothered me, and if fixed, would make the game a lot better. That being said I still think that it’s a fun and adorable Otome game. It is beautiful to look at, has great characters and even an interesting story. If you are a fan of Otome games, you will enjoy this one.

Of all the visual novels I’ve played in the past, this is probably my favourite, with the possible exception of Coffee Talk, since the latter had more gameplay options. I was impressed with almost every aspect, from the story, to the artwork, to the voice acting. I just wish that there had been more interactivity, and I REALLY wish that the main character wasn’t a minor.
