Critic Reviews for Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree
"An elegant journey brimming with authenticity" Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is not just a game; it's an immersive cultural experience that reimagines the Arabian myth with a unique art style and innovative gameplay mechanics. Starvania succeeds in delivering a visually and aurally integrated work, demonstrating the ability of indie games to create experiences with global appeal and local roots that leave a lasting impression on the player.

If you’re searching for a game that offers a blend of quiet reflection, mythological storytelling, and light puzzle-solving, Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is an excellent choice. Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is undoubtedly a great and exciting experience. It offered an excellent, poetic, and evolving story throughout the gameplay, alongside a simple and fun gameplay style with elements that renew equally over the course of the experience, strong characters, and a silent protagonist who will remain stuck in my mind for a while. Despite that, some technical flaws were found at the beginning of the game, as well as some issues in the drawing skill, and a deficiency that I personally noticed in one of the game's distinctive aspects, which is the lack of usage of Arabic literary texts.
