Galactic Glitch Reviews
A fun, but notably flawed roguelike. Galactic Glitch is worth your time, but it's hard to recommend for those who dislike any of the genres it takes from.
Some of the power-ups are fun, like spawning small fighters or missiles, but the core loop of Galactic Glitch is simply far too repetitious, the upgrades are too slow, the meta-progression is glacial, and any driving factor to continue is non-existent. The idea could have been fine, but everything previously mentioned needed major overhauls and pretty much could be summed up by "needing cooler stuff faster" at every stage of the game.
Galactic Glitch does kick you when you’re down. But Galactic Glitch is well worth the loop if you like to beat games and watch chaos happen in style. You don’t just have to dodge and shoot in this roguelike; you have to use chaos as a weapon. It’s also hard to stop throwing enemies at each other, like in a telekinetic space battler.
Galactic Glitch is a futuristic sci-fi take and serves as a welcome addition to the indie roguelike genre. It lives in a crowded sector, but with its unique spin on genre conventions, engaging physics-based combat, slight progression mechanics, and enigmatic narrative, it sets itself apart.
Galactic Glitch is yet another fantastic and innovative addition to the twin-stick genre, one that it is fair to say has had a fair few belters so far this year.
Galactic Glitch lets you bend physics to your will in a chaotic ballet of bullets, debris, and gravity-defying carnage. Rip enemies apart, hurl asteroids, and blast through a beautifully broken universe. It’s twin-stick roguelike mayhem with brains, brawn, and just the right amount of glitch.
The game Galactic Glitch delivered an enjoyable roguelike experience, relying on a physics-based gameplay style that feels fresh and innovative. It offers a great variety of combat strategies, paired with a beautiful and impressive artistic direction. Despite some drawbacks and challenges, it succeeded in providing the expected fun. It's the kind of game that encourages you to push forward and expand your exploration further.
