Heartwarming photo album narrative puzzler on Switch
While Instants is basically a game where you solve the straightforward puzzle of how things came to be, at its core, is about letting your creativity run wild. Looking at heartwarming moments in life, such as the first date, the birth of a couple’s first child, or the opening of presents on Christmas Day are the basis of the albums, but your way of decorating each of these stories will give it a personal touch that can make it authentically yours.
If you’re looking for a cosy puzzle game with no stress, awesome visuals and one that can pull you into the story without a spoken word, you should go for Instants. It works well on the Switch 2, but I do feel the button controls were designed with Steam in mind. It’s not a long game, some three hours, but it will be time well spent.
From the puzzles to customization, Instants truly was a game made with players who like a little of both in mind. But Instants goes beyond just solving puzzles. It reminds us to focus on preserving the good stuff. To remember the fleeting moments that have built a beautiful life.
