Critic Reviews for Firefighting Simulator: Ignite
While it’s not quite making a childhood dream a reality, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is the next best thing.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite isn’t going to be for everyone. If you come looking for high-octane action, you’ll probably bounce off quickly. But if you’re patient and willing to embrace its deliberate pacing, there’s a rewarding experience here. It’s niche, no doubt, but it’s a niche worth exploring.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is one of the better simulators on console, and perhaps the best of the firefighting variety. It's a sim on console, so you know it comes with some bugs, but if you're into the emergency services subgenre of sims, it's a no brainer.
Weltenbauer should be commended for creating such an immersive and exciting experience, one that respects the profession it simulates while delivering tense, rewarding gameplay. With additional DLC planned for later this year - promising new missions, vehicles, and gear - there's plenty to look forward to for those ready to don their virtual firefighting gear and answer the call.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite may well surprise. The gameplay loop is engaging, and the fire control, with all the different equipment to use, is genuinely exciting. It’s helped along by some amazing visuals that allow it to really feel like a current-generation sim game, something which is unusual in this genre.
Though Firefighting Simulator Ignite could have been better polished, I like the core ideas and the varied missions. Moreover, there is some progression as you unlock new vehicles with slightly different tools. This adds depth and will keep people coming back for more. Undoubtedly, it is better with friends, but lone wolves can enjoy it regardless. Accordingly, I recommend taking a look at the Xbox Store.
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is no ordinary simulation, but an intense experience that impresses with its attention to detail, realism and atmospheric presentation. Varied missions, the dynamic fire display and the successful co-operative mode make the game a highlight for simulation fans.
