Critic Reviews for Blood of Mehran

It's one of the most predictable, uninspired, and underwhelming action RPGs you'll likely ever come across. There is a certain level of cozy comfort that comes with that, but all in all, this is not worth your time or money."

Blood of Mehran is a bit of a throwback, taking its inspiration from games a couple of generations back. The foundation has been put in place, but Blood of Mehran is a distinctively average eight hour experience with combat not reaching the levels it could, voice acting that could be better, and various performance issues that need addressing.

Blood of Mehran has all the right bones for what a game of this type should be, and it plays fine, but it's one that unfortunately never truly impresses.

Blood of Mehran unfortunately lacks its own independent identity. The game wanders between an Eastern epic narrative and an imitation of Western formulas, and ultimately does neither well. There is no fresh approach to the game's story, no gameplay, and no cohesive visuals. The result is a game that could have been distinctive and respectable, but remains only a shadow of its potential.

An adventure that is unintentionally comedic at best, and downright broken at its worst. Some fun moments during combat do shine through, but without some much needed updates, this is one to steer clear of.

If you want a bland but playable adventure title, Blood of Mehran will be for you. As you traverse different environments, you will experience a feeling of Deja vu. This wouldn’t be too bad, but the Groundhog Day gameplay and dull action will not inspire you to keep playing. Though it wasn’t for me, you can grab your copy from the Xbox store!

Poor combat and stealth only serve to highlight the rest of the issues with Blood of Mehran, and far too soon does it become a slog to play rather than the epic Arabian adventure it could have been.
