Obakeidoro 2: Chase and Seek is wonderful both online and offline, although it is definitely designed with local multiplayer in mind. It is a pleasant short burst of joy that's easy to pick up and play without asking if everyone can play or if there is enough time. The charming atmosphere and attention to detail also capture a lot of the magic of playing with friends in the schoolyard!

OBAKEIDORO 2: Chase & Seek is fun when the conditions are right, but right now it doesn’t have the depth to hold up as a long-term asymmetrical multiplayer game.
In the end, Obakeidoro 2: Chase & Seek is a cheap, light game that doesn't demand too much commitment from the player. You can leave it alone on the Switch for weeks and come back when you feel like playing some quick matches without having to remember complex systems, like [you would for] Dead by Daylight.

For Nintendo Switch 2 players looking for something lighthearted to play with friends, OBAKEIDORO 2 is easy to recommend. Its spooky presentation gives it plenty of personality, while the straightforward multiplayer makes it easy even for newcomers. It may not become a permanent fixture in your library, but it does not need to. Sometimes a game only needs to deliver a few genuinely fun rounds before everyone starts laughing and asking for one more match.
While offering a family-friendly alternative to its horror-inspired asymmetric cousins, there’s fun to be had here, but its future feels more shaky
