Super Limit-Breaking NEO is a tough DLC to judge. It's a decent expansion that, in some ways, feels like it completes the overall package - which was already really robust. But at the same time, its new single player mode - a key selling point - simply doesn't live up to the billing.So for most players, it's going to come down to the price tag; this quickly becomes an expensive DLC if its new characters are the only real attraction.
DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO - Super Limit-Breaking NEO brings with it a torrent of new content, consisting of 33 new playable characters, 4 new stages, new story content and a brand new single-player stat-building mode that brings some RPG mechanics to the anime fighter.
This isn't to say that Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO - Super Limit-Breaking NEO is a bad expansion. As loyal fans of Akira Toriyama's series, we thoroughly enjoyed it, and trying out its new features was a true trip down memory lane. It's just that we felt it could have offered so much more.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is the generational successor that the legendary Tenkaichi 3 deserved. A title that will leave its mark on an entire generation of fans of Toriyama's work, with the potential to be considered the definitive Dragon Ball simulator.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero – Super Limit-Breaking Neo is enough reason to return to this excellent fighting game. It’s got a laundry list of new characters and stages, plus a new roguelike mode that lets you build your ultimate fighter. Ultimately, this content’s longevity relies on how much you enjoy the base game. The new roguelike mode has some potential, but it can be challenging if you’re not able to master the base game’s intricate controls and systems.
