Doggy Don't Care doesn't offer anything original, but it's a fun sandbox of cute chaos. Keep your play sessions short and you'll be ridiculously entertained as you destroy everything in sight as an adorable little doggo.
If you’re looking for a fun way to shut your brain off for an hour or two, Doggy Don’t Care is a fine way to do it, offering a short but chaos-filled adventure where you terrorize your owner’s home, explore new places, and pee on the carpet.
I had fun with Doggy Don’t Care, and I’m looking forward to what Rohan Nowall makes next. The game has a creative concept with Charlie the dog causing chaos everywhere he goes. The surprisingly creative levels and puzzles sucked me in and kept me playing. The visual design was very good and made up for the not-quite-as-strong audio. There is plenty more for me to see and revisit in later playthroughs. And I’m looking forward to 100%-ing the game with those 25 achievements, which is rare for me. I am pleased to give Doggy Don’t Care a Thumb Culture Silver Award! Doggy Don’t Care isn’t the most memorable game in recent memory, nor will it attempt to win any awards. It’s a very simple, dumb-as-a-pug mischief simulator that won’t require too much of your attention (or brain cells), but it is quite entertaining in small bursts, as in, say, one level a time. Whilst short and overly simplistic, it manages to perfectly balance the fact it doesn’t take itself seriously with it not feeling like a pointless joke, either. Shut your brain off for a few minutes while you’re playing it, and you’ll have a moderately good time.
