NeuroVoider is a fun game on PS4 that those of you who love twin-stick shooters will get to enjoy. The roguelike elements are not for everyone but if you enjoy having to start over when your run is over, you’ll certainly feel at home with this one. NeuroVoider is a very strong example of an older genre being brought back to life with modern game techniques. Gameplay is filled to the brim with heavy choices through RPG elements and player reflexes, making every action exciting to behold. While repetition is sure to set in eventually due to the game's procedual nature, the amount of content available through level layouts and loot choices make such an event a long way off.

Neurovoider has its high points that are leveled out by its faults. It’s a fairly solid trial of perseverance with little reward other than its own players self accomplishments within. Its bite sized levels will keep you coming back for more, but its sudden difficulty barriers will send you packing.

Neurovoider is retro in the best and worst ways. It’s brutally hard, simple to learn yet difficult to master, and is agonizingly repetitive. It’s fun for those looking for a challenge, but it isn’t for everyone.
