It has been great revisiting Asuka’s stories years after experiencing them for the first time. [OpenCritic Note: Mikhail Madnani separately reviewed the Vita (8.5) and Switch (8.0) versions. Their scores have been averaged.]

The $39.99 price tag may bring pause to some gamers, but the length of the main scenario justifies the price. The gorgeous art, choice fan service, enthusiastic voicing and compelling overall story make the game an easy sell for those who like visual novels, although the appeal ultimately won’t be as great as something like Zero Escape or Phoenix Wright.

Nurse Love Addiction might not do enough to bring in players who detest visual novels but there's an attention-grabbing story hidden beneath that white nurse's cap that simply won't let go.

This is genuinely one of the best visual novels on Nintendo Switch, despite some short scenes with questionable moral content, which many get accustomed to enduring with anime and manga. There is surprising depth and gravity in Nurse Love Addiction, making it relatable despite the fantasy elements. Replaying the game won't be dull in an attempt to find out what happens when Asuka falls in love with characters other than Sayuri, where no doubt many more mysteries await.

Nurse Love Addition is subversive, intelligent, and quite beautiful.

Nurse Love Addiction is a harmless game, with fun characters and a very light plot. Recommended for those that want to get distracted with a story that albeit a little generic, doesn't fail to make the player smile.

Nurse Love Addiction, though definitely more than meets the eye, is still a welcome addition to anyone’s Visual Novel library. As long as you don’t take it at face value and keep an open mind, it’ll be a very enjoyable 30-40 hours of an adventure. Its strongest points are the shock value and twists that don’t normally accompany Visual Novels and the deep character development. If you’re looking for a VN that’s longer than most with some good controversial material, then Nurse Love Addiction is exactly what the doctor prescribes.
