Glass Masquerade
Critic Reviews for Glass Masquerade
Onyx Lute's Glass Masquerade is a good puzzler on Steam, proving that a simple pleasure is perhaps the best way to go sometimes.
Glass Masquerade is a unique and enchanting jigsaw puzzle game that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something they can unwind with.
If you’re looking for a nice looking game to relax and wind down with, Glass Masquerade fits the bill perfectly. It’s a jigsaw puzzle in which the image isn’t the key to solving it, the curves and angles of each of the shapes are. This adds a new level of difficulty to the game as well as gives you a great sense of achievement once you successfully slot several slivers in succession. I love that the timer is there purely as a ‘git gud’ mechanic and doesn’t actually halt gameplay or deal any kind of punishment/restriction on those who take their time. Glass Masquerade is quite simply the perfect game to play when you have a spare moment and want to relax.
GREAT - Glass Masquerade delivers an accessible, clever and elegant jigsaw puzzle experience with stunning art deco stained-glass pieces to be built. The game performs great on the Nintendo Switch utilizing both main control methods, and I only had one minor criticism of the gameplay. In the end, I’d love to see more content added to really bolster the lasting appeal for this game.
Glass Masquerade delivers more than you think at first glance, and I found it a puzzler that was both challenging and therapeutic.
The first thing that makes these puzzles a bit more challenging is that you don’t go in with any idea what they look like...
Glass Masquerade has plenty to offer with the amount of artwork to unveil, however I feel had the game added a time scenario to its puzzle designs, with gold, silver and bronze trophies, and also a leaderboard of times achieved around the world, then that would have added to the game and offered a little more of accomplishment for the player.
