Critic Reviews for Ittle Dew

Ittle Dew is a top-class puzzle-adventure title that Zelda fans will absolutely adore. Even if you're not a Hyrule aficionado, there's enough wit and charm (and one of our favourite soundtracks in the entire Wii U library) to make it appealing to players from all walks of life. Unfortunately, the combat mechanic is sub-par, and most egregiously the game is full of technical issues. They are by no means a deal breaker, though, and you should definitely check this one out.

Ittle Dew is a lovely, endearing title that will undoubtedly appeal to Zelda fans thanks to its birds-eye view and heavy focus on item-based puzzles.

Never quite as good as the smart writing and clever ideas seem to promise, but still a thoroughly entertaining parody of the best of 2D Zelda.

Players should not be deceived by Ittle Dew's apparent similarities with The Legend of Zelda series. The references are merely for comic and background effect and this is, in reality, a very satisfying puzzle game that will delight those with enough mental energy to invest their time on it.

I didn\'t have much of an idea as to what to expect going in to Ittle Dew. From what little I\'ve seen of it, it seemed like "Zelda clone" could have been appropriate. After playing and experiencing all it had to offer, "Zelda clone" would be doing it a great disservice. Ittle Dew ultimately crafts a unique and charming adventure that often made me laugh and definitely made me sad when it ended a handful of hours later.

Depending on your exploration and puzzle solving skills, Ittle Dew will last between three to six hours. It is not a terribly long and epic adventure, but one that has a lot of heart. If you truly love the Legend of Zelda series and adventures in general, Ittle Dew is the perfect game to remind you why that love exists in the first place.

But while it lasts, Ittle Dew is a fun experience. It's not as deep as a Zelda game, but it has charm that some more recent Zelda games seem to lack at times. It's a clever little romp to play around for a few hours, and it's a fine way to spend a couple of days trekking through dungeons and finding new cards and pieces of paper.
