SingStar: Celebration Reviews
SingStar Celebration is a vanilla version of a party game classic, and you'll have a great time if you allow yourself to let your hair down
SingStar Celebration doesn't change the face of the karaoke genre, but it's one hell of a way to jumpstart a party. The 30 songs on offer are a blast to sing along with friends to, and it's a solid value as long as they don't clash with your existing SingStar DLC library. It's a perfect example of the types of social games that can thrive under the PlayLink banner.
London Studio's latest karaoke effort may have a decent Party mode and PlayLink functionality, but its one-note tracklist and lack of four-player functionality make it a poor choice for a party game. SingStar: Celebration certainly doesn't live up to its name, then – it's only marginally more fun than a Jehovah's Witness' birthday bash.
If this is a celebration, then it's a muted one. I'm not sure Singstar will ever relive its glory days, but Celebration is a decent karaoke game that doesn't need extra accessories and peripherals. It's fun and infinitely better than singing along to your favourite song on the radio, pretending your hairbrush or potato peeler is a microphone.
SingStar's time is coming to an end. The real PlayLink games are more popular at parties now.

SingStar was a beast, but the lack of backwards functionality, latency issues and a rather generic song list is no way to "celebrate" what made SingStar so great back in the day.
SingStar Celebration makes use of the new PlayLink app with a bunch of new songs.
The quality of the catalog made available by Sony is of the highest level, as is the store that can be accessed. Prices for each song are not excessive, allowing you to have an updated catalog that allows you not to get bored.

SingStar Celebration was more of an afterparty than a celebration for me. The variety and number of songs included aren't great and the removal of the four-player mode seems like they have taken a step backwards. However, the social aspect and the community built within the game itself would be perfect for those who believe they are the next big star and want to show it off with fellow like-minded people.
Stop singing in the shower and sing it to me, baby. SingStar Celebration is easy to pick up and using your phone means fewer cables and fuss, which always slowed the party down.
SingStar Celebration is an entertaining party game, where music fans will get their money's worth.
