I Fell From Grace Reviews
I fell from Grace wants to be something it's not, with obvious pulls from certain media.
I Fell From Grace has one of the most unique and interesting narratives I've seen in any game this year. The unsettling story tells a compelling and mysterious tale with flawed characters navigating some truly strange events. The traditional adventure game mechanics are serviceable and keeps the narrative flowing, yet the lack of a quest log or general sense of objective means you'll get more enjoyment out of this one playing with a guide until you become familiar with the various set pieces. Definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of weird stories or traditional adventure games.
If you don't like the rhyming, don't fret;I Fell From Grace may entertain you yet!
I fell from Grace, is pleasantly... unpleasant. It's a very dark tale of a man, who, while - hopelessly - trying to save his dying wife, loses a lot more. The rhyming dialogue will be off-putting to many, yet it's actually an element that creates a nice contrast with all the tears and blood that will be spilled throughout this pixel-art, horror-ish adventure. On the other hand, the actual process of playing this leaves a lot to be desired, and the pacing is painfully slow for what is essentially a narrative-driven experience.
I Fell from Grace forego modern gaming amenities at the risk of alienating contemporary gamers in order to faithfully adhere to the classic adventure genre, resulting in a harrowing, mature enterprise that will require perseverance to experience in full.
