If you are a puzzle fan, then you definitely want to check out Q.U.B.E. 2.
Q.U.B.E. 2 adds much to the genre, be it the gravitational power from the gloves or the puzzle mechanics. Unfortunately, though, a lot of potential is wasted, since it has a mediocre story that leaves many blank spaces and its puzzles are very easy — and therefore monotonous — most of the time.

A solid Puzzle game with great design, though lacking the length for the price it asks. It’s fun for a playthrough but over too quickly.
Not helped by technical glitches and cumbersome controls, Q.U.B.E. 2 boxes itself in with tedious gameplay and a sluggish pace.
Q.U.B.E. 2 is an immensely satisfying first-person puzzle solving experience that is beautiful to behold and fun to play. The narrative holds it back from achieving greatness, but you can't go wrong spending an evening solving these mind-bending puzzles.
The cake might still be a lie but Q.U.B.E. 2 is no joke featuring well crafted and clever puzzles that will inspire both rage and happiness as any good puzzle game should. At times the control mechanics are a bit off, and puzzle difficulty progression could be tweaked a little but overall the game is definitely worth your time.
| Review Archaeologist Amelia Cross awakens stranded in a strange alien world. Her whereabouts unknown, the only familiarity is a fellow survivor also lost within the expanse. Fitted with a power suit which enables the manipulation of the environment via creation of ‘cubes’ Amelia must use this technology to unravel the secrets of this vast alien world and find her way back home.
So QUBE 2 is a smart, deeply satisfying puzzle game that makes you feel like a genius at times. It has a well thought out and implemented plot too. It’s just a shame that it’s so short lived, leaving you begging for more when the credits roll.
Q.U.B.E. 2 starts off far too slow and holds few surprises, but its late-game content solidifies it as an excellent first-person puzzler with a well-told narrative.
Q.U.B.E 2 is a massive statement of intent from Toxic Games with its energy, enthusiasm and overall excellence. They’re in nobodies shadow, now. They’re the ones casting it.
