Grid Mania Reviews
Grid Mania doesn't attempt to revolutionise the puzzle genre in any shape of form, but the things that it does well help to create a solid brain teasing experience. The four game modes offer an excellent initial set of levels with escalating difficulty, and then three distinctive twists on that core mechanic that could all even warrant their own game. Presentational setbacks aside, Grid Mania is well worth your time if you want to feel like a genius.
Grid Mania features a good quality-price relationship, further cemented by its level design and simplicity. At the same time, the game feels like it lacks ambition as it does not go as far as it could and while simplicity is usually welcome, Grid Mania feels like it could have gone for more and it could have had a greater impact.

Switch is becoming home to games that either are or seem like they would be a great fit on mobile, and this trend is adding depth to the system's library. Grid Mania doesn't really do anything new, but it plays well, has some variety to its gameplay, and provides a solid challenge. “Mania” might be a little hyperbolic, so let's just say the game is “Grid Fun” for the whole family.
Designed for short bursts and with more than enough content to justify its incredibly generous price tag, Grid Mania offers a unique puzzle experience with plenty of challenge to go around. The four game modes aren't as distinct as they perhaps could or should be, but the core design is strong enough to keep each mode from feeling derivative of one another. As the difficulty gradually curves up and critical thought becomes a more frequent demand, Grad Mania establishes itself as a highly satisfying puzzler that still manages to be quite relaxing at its hardest.
In some regards you could believe that any lesser combination of these modes could have been a stand-alone game so kudos to the developer for taking their idea and running with it to the fullest. While the style of play isn’t revolutionary each mode has enough variety that switching between them regularly kept everything feeling pretty fresh and challenging. With its presentation being clean and polished, a well-implemented hook, and a diverse set of challenges spanning a load of puzzles if you’re looking for something to test your mind it’s a solid option.
Grid Mania is one of those games that always give you a great deal of satisfaction
