The saga of the witch and the gentleman promises certain things that he has not just fulfilled. An Action RPG with little spark and personality that, unfortunately, without finishing.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 improves on the original in many ways but still suffers from poor design decision.
The Witch and The Hundred Knight 2 is a colourful, funny, and interesting game, but it's greatly hindered by a drawn-out, convoluted battle system. Hardcore JRPG fans will get more out of this game than the casual player, but as a whole it just feels far too inaccessible for its own good.
…despite the improved mechanics, sound effects, and a story with great potential, the game itself is not very exciting.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is by no means a bad game, but I'm unsure how it justifies its existence.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a game for those who love anime, dirty jokes, and hours of raids on enemies. Nice music and unique combat system are there too.

With its cast of unique, adorable, and amazing characters, and a storyline sure to defrost even the coldest Garachi Ice Golem's heart, The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 serves as proof that with the right upgrades and refinements to gameplay, no series is beyond saving when given the proper TLC it deserves.
After feeling a bit underwhelmed by the first game, I found The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 to be surprisingly enjoyable. Granted, the dungeon combat can feel clunky and repetitive and the English localization seems to be trying too hard to be edgy at times. A nice mix of that Nippon Ichi charm and humor on top of its darker, witchy elements, however, makes this worth sampling from your gaming cauldron, particularly if you like more niche JRPG titles.
