Critic Reviews for Thief of Thieves: Season One
Thief of Thieves is an awful video game. It's tedious and clunky, has broken AI, awful dialogue, miserable characters and a boring story that has absolutely nothing of interest to say or add to the heist genre.
Thief of Thieves is a stylish stealth thriller let down by dodgy AI and a lack of real imagination
While the loading times are often excessive and can feel like a burden, the game successfully creates a comic-like environment, which along with its soundtrack and attention to the way the missions are planned make this a very welcome entry in the Nintendo Switch catalogue and one which will fit well with anyone looking for a fun adventure.

Thief of Thieves: Season One offers a good crime thriller with superb writing, but is bogged down by janky AI and a serious lack of polish in its gameplay sections. For those fans of the comic or those looking for just the story aspects you might have something worth looking at here, but stealth fans should look elsewhere.
Instead of pulling off a perfect heist, Thief of Thieves: Season One was tackled at the door by a 6ft tall cockroach wearing a security guard uniform. It may looks nice, but no single element of gameplay works properly.
Thief of Thieves is an interesting but unpolished stealth game that offers a great cast of characters but has little else going for it. The voice acting and writing had me invested in these characters and I enjoyed my journey with them; I just wish it had less of the stealth gameplay which isn't exactly great since this is a stealth game. In the end, it just really made me want to play Dishonored again.
Thief Of Thieves: Season One almost seems like a game of many faces. Is it a stealth game, or a point-and-click adventure game or the next Telltale Games' successor? There's no fault in trying to be all three things. Unfortunately, this Nintendo Switch port created some flaws that make total enjoyment difficult. The biggest being the blurry graphics, especially when docked and played on a monitor. Nevertheless, avid comic book fans will find the motivation to push ahead just to see the lovely comic book art and hear these loved characters given form by some great voice acting!
