Critic Reviews for Ultimate Fishing Simulator
Although it has a few quirks, the Ultimate Fishing Simulator does provide a believable environment paired with what seems to be a very accurate fishing simulation. While you have to play by a few rules and use defined reeling methods, there is still a good amount of personal technique required to land a fish. They put up a good fight and can be very devious in their fight to break your line - even the smallest of the fish can escape if you aren't careful.
Ultimate Fishing Simulator is a great way to start virtual fishing on PC. It is one of the most beautiful games of its kind, if not the most beautiful. We regret a perfectible tutorial and sometimes insufficient helps, but the online component always help to find someone to give you a hand. If you throw your line on Steam for a fishing game, feel free to try UFS.

Ultimate Fishing Simulator captures a lot of intricate little details which helps make it feel like a truly authentic fishing experience.
In the end, the inclusion of a wide variety of environments and styles of fishing doesn't offset the simplistic and redundant mechanics of catching and reeling in fish, resulting in a long and boring grind to reach the big catches the ocean fishing has to offer.
Having to raise enough money to purchase a fishing licence does make sense, but when you combine this with the game’s insistence on gatekeeping levels according to your perceived skill, it sucks all the joy out of this virtual pastime. When you factor in what other fishing games have to offer – levels that are accessible from the start, better graphics, in-game sponsorship and beyond – Ultimate Fishing Simulator barely makes a splash.
In what Ultimate Fishing Simulator proposes to do, it does it very well, managing to hold the player with its numerous options available. However, the game does not offer many challenges once you have the right equipment and it ends up being hours and hours of repetitive action.

There's not really many ways of sugar coating it; this game is a mess on Xbox One and isn't worth your time. Surely any other fishing game would be worth considering if you have that urge.
Whilst Ultimate Fishing Simulator isn’t the only fishing simulator around (and some are free), it is probably the best one around, both in terms of graphics and fish movement accuracy. I could see it being used by professionals and those wanting to get into fishing, whilst everyone else could use it to relax. Well, at least for while that is.
