Critic Reviews for Swords and Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon
The real-time strategy genre is one that doesn't have very much representation on the Switch eShop now, but Swords and Soldiers II shows how it can be done well on the platform. Deep, but not confusing gameplay, great multiplayer, plenty of challenge, and a silly premise make this one an easy recommendation for anybody that's looking for more of a thinking man's game for their Switch. If you want something that's a bit livelier and more hands-on than Wargroove, but still ultimately concerned with planning and executing sound strategies, this is the game for you.
Ronimo Games presents us an unparalleled Viking adventure full of fun, laughs, desperation and tasty shawarmas.

Swords & Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon is a fantastic RTS addition to the Switch's library, and thanks to its portability and the addition of touch controls, Nintendo's console is once more the best place to play.
An often gorgeous and frequently surprising take on the RTS genre, Swords and Solders 2 Shawarmageddon is a hugely enjoyable effort that both fans and non-fans of traditional strategy games will enjoy.
Sword & Soldiers 2 is a strong yet simplistic side-scrolling Real Time Strategy game with a genuinely funny set of characters and dialogue that runs throughout the game, also topped up by a genuinely strong and colourful aesthetic. The game is only really let down by the limited replay value and small online audience.
Sword and soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon does a great job of pulling together all of the things that made the original great while adding in new elements.
Despite an obvious need to mix things up and curate a more vibrant online audience, Sword and Soldiers 2: Shwarmageddon has plenty that is good about it.
This is a great take on a 2D real-time strategy game, it has a good sense of humour, and most importantly; it is a lot of fun. The single-player campaign is well written, but the multi-player is where the game truly shines.
