Steel Division 2 is a great WW2 era strategy game, exploring the Eastern Front. However, its fresh approach of the RTS genre is slightly underminded by weak tutorialization.

And now here it is, the moment we’ve all been waiting for; the section where I give Steel Division II a rating. Given how fantastic the game looks, sounds and plays, I’m going to have to give it the Platinum Essential Award. There’s just no other option that fits it. If you’re a fan of Strategy games, World War 2 games, or even just PC games in general, Steel Division II is a must own game, in my opinion. It is well worth the CDN$49.99 price tag on Steam. I definitely recommend picking it up and convicing your friends to play as well.

Steel Division 2 unifies its strategic and tactical layer like few real time strategy games does. Sadly, Eugen’s stubbornness in not including proper tutorials makes what could’ve been one of the best games of 2019 just a really good one.

Steel Division is an excellent military simulator game. It grants the user the ability of tactical decisions, has an engaging single player campaign and an exciting multiplayer mode where you can really test yourself against your friends or strangers to see who the true military mastermind is. The graphics are very pleasing, the music is fitting however sometimes a bit repetitive, the sound effects fit excellently to the game and the theme of the surroundings. Overall, it’s a good game, and when overcoming the learning curve will provide the player with a solid military simulation experience.

A solid realistic RTS hobbled by extremely steep learning curve, awkward control schemes, and disjointed single player scenarios.

Steel Division 2 proves to be a much better game than its predecessor in terms of graphics and mechanics, but it still needs to solve a few balancing problems before it can be called "definitive."

Steel Division II comes up with some great ideas like Army General and tries to keep you amused with massive tactical battles. However, the lack of a comprehensive tutorial, some annoying gameplay mechanisms, and technical issues ruin most of the good ideas in practice.

Steel Division 2 suffers from tons of issues, but if you somehow manage to get past them, you'll realize the potential behind it and how Eugan can make it a lot better if they are committed enough.

Steel division 2 steps on a solid ground above its predecessor. General Mode is a brilliant idea, but it is barely playable due to some serious bugs.

Steel Division 2 improves every aspect of the previous Normandy '44, but there isn't a tutorial and this could scare many new players.

Steel Division 2 is a deep and complex wargame, a lot more massive than the first game. Sadly it's dont propose workshop at launchj and it's a big problem because the first game survived mostly thanks to the mods.

Steel Division 2 is a game with some excellent ideas, such as the Army General campaigns, the attention to detail and the sheer size of battles in multiplayer and, to a lesser extent, skirmish. Also, it looks great and, despite the sheer size, can be really engrossing to play. At least for the most part, with the game being let down by an incredibly high barrier for entry, offering no help because the tutorial is a sheer Berlin-wall of text and an AI that seemingly decides it's only fair for it to cheat, all of which can take you out of the game.

Weighed down by a terrible campaign, this is still a superb multiplayer WW2 tactical RTS.

Steel Division 2 does almost everything Normandy 44 did as well or better, but just about everything new it tries gets bogged down in the mud.
