Critic Reviews for Daedalus The Awakening of Golden Jazz
While the mystery in "Alternate Jake Hunter: DAEDALUS The Awakening of Golden Jazz" is entertaining, the rhythm felt off with multiple lulls and heavy dialogue that hampered the experience of the story overall.
For visual novel/crime fiction fans, especially/obviously of the Jake Hunter lineage, you’ve probably played worse and this is worth the effort.
It's stylish, slick production that borrows from the classical masters of the crime fiction genre, while adding some genuinely creative approaches to the visual novel that help to make it both feel fresh and hard to put down. Even when I knew what was coming because I am far too familiar with how crime fiction works, I still delighted in the way that Alternate Jake Hunter presented itself.
Daedalus The Awakening of Golden Jazz is one of the few japanese investigation games we'll see in this generation. Whether you like it or not, it's part of an interesting niche and I'd recommend this one more to those fans than the public in general.

Nonsense title aside, Alternate Jake Hunter: DAEDALUS The Awakening of Golden Jazz is one of the best written detective adventures to release this gen.
