Whether you're a hardcore fan or looking to discover Attack on Titan's story line for the first time through an interactive medium, I highly recommend Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle. However, if you already own the base game, it's probably best to wait on a price drop for the Final Battle add-on. I am hopeful that season 4 content will be added to the game at a later date, but even if that isn't the case, AOT 2 is a very fun and very well-rounded experience as it stands now.

All in all the game is hours of fun but once the initial novelty wears off you might feel a slight tinge of regret. Not because the mechanics or because of the graphics but because of its repetitiveness. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful game and if you’re a fan of the series you can’t go wrong picking this up and playing it at least once.

Koei Tecmo seems to be perfectly aware of what Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle really is, as the new content is available separately for those who own the original game while those who haven’t experienced the original game yet can get everything in one package.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle doesn't improve the base game much aside from adding new story content and some minor gameplay tweaks. It is still one of the best anime video game adaptions that is worth a recommendation if you are a fan of the show.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is a definitive version of the game, delivering very fun gameplay and a considerable ammount of content, even if the inconsistent performance and the high price of the DLC for those that have the base-game work against it.

Attack on Titan 2 Final Battle is a tough title to recommend to anyone. It runs poorly, the new targeting system doesn't work as it should, and the new modes simply aren't worth the investment. If you still want to give it a shot despite all of this, do yourself a favor and avoid the Switch version.

Final Battle's content might not justify it's price tag, yet it has enough to offer to keep fans of the Attack on Titan series happy. It's not the best DLC ever, but it's not a bad one either. It's just right.

If you didn't play Attack on Titan 2 and want to walk in this beautiful anime world, now with the release of Attack on Titan 2 Final Battle, it is the best time to play the game in its best and most complete form. There are new stories, new playable characters and new equipments that made Final Battle a valuable downloadable content. Even if you play the main game before, still Final Battle has a good amount of new content for you to try.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle expands the scope of the original game introducing new ways to traverse the battlefield and take down Titans. It also faithfully adapts the storyline of the third season of the anime. Players that play through these games just for the story missions alone may be left a bit disappointed but for those that enjoyed the gameplay loop of AOT2 and get a kick out of levelling up your character and unlocking new gear, you’re in for more of a good thing.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is a great game for those who have yet to take the leap into Omega Force’s handling of the story as the excellent combat mechanics and slew of game modes spread make for quite a meaty offering, though those who already played the original Attack on Titan 2 may find the price a bit too steep for these additions.

Attack on Titan 2 was already a pretty massive game and this Final Battle version only sweetens the pot with tons of new content. You could easily spend 50 or more hours unlocking and exploring everything this game has to offer. If you haven’t picked up the base game I feel this one is well worth the $59.99 price tag. You can upgrade the base version to the Final Battle version for $39.99. I think for the amount of new content here it would be well worth it. The Nintendo Switch version of the game does have some slowdown when lots of Titans and characters are on screen moving at the same time. I didn’t encounter this too often, but on a couple of missions it is very noticeable. I wish they had added a few new mission types to the game as well, just to add a bit of variety. Those are really the only two complaints I can find with this outstanding title. Fans of Attack on Titan, buy this game today. You’ll be very happy you snagged it up. If you aren’t a fan of the series or found the anime’s pacing too slow, you should pick this up as well. I was not a fan of this until I played the first game back in 2016 and I’m very glad I decided to give it a chance.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is a fantastic video game adaptation, and sequel fans have been waiting for, that nails the gameplay mechanics for combat, and captures the core aesthetics of the anime series. I will say that the price for the DLC is pretty high at $39.99. However, the amount of content and new features you get is well worth it.

If you’ve made it this far, you can probably tell that I absolutely love Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle and I think that developers Omega Force have outdone themselves yet again with this expansion. It’s difficult to create a fantastic game and even more difficult to drastically improve upon said game months later, but these developers have managed it. If the game had gone into a little more depth with the story then it would be a perfect game for me, so for that reason I’m giving this a Thumb Culture Gold Award.

GOOD - Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle Is a great addition to an amazing representation of the anime. The DLC offers a ton of additional content, which will definitely add on hours to the overall playtime. There are some lackluster aspects of the DLC, and it’s overpriced for those that own the original game, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had here.

If you can look past the repetitiveness of the missions, you can play right through the story line and get yourself up to speed on the story of Attack on Titan without having to watch all of the anime, and while killing titans may get a bit old, swinging through the city and mastering the ODM never does.
