If you already own some of these, or if crafting isn't your cup of tea, that's something to consider. But if you're an RPG fan, the Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack is well worth the time and money spent, and will be enjoyed.

A set of interesting RPGs set in a unique, fascinating world. Imagery that will stay with you long after you stop playing. Tried and tested combat is a shame but the interesting crafting is worth a look.

The series on the whole is a great throwback to the older Mana Khemia series. Ayesha is the weakest entry, graphically, story and gameplay wise, but things improve drastically with Escha and Logy, with a serious, "cool" factor to Logy, with the series coming to a very refined closure with Shallie. For JRPG fans that have any interest in those, they are a great pickup together. While not quite "traditional" RPG quests, they are very similar to the JRPGs that really first started getting popular in the West many years ago.

Atelier Dusk Trilogy is a good chance for those who missed these episodes to get back to the Dusk setting; however, newcomers may find better outings in the most recent episodes of the Atelier series.

Ultimately, I’ve had a lot of fun in my time with the Atelier Dusk Trilogy. It’s quite a ways away from being one of my favorite JRPG series, yet it is definitely worth the money for this $90 pack considering that I did have fun and its loaded with stuff to do. If you want to merely try out one game before committing to the whole series, each title can be purchased individually for $39.99 a piece. This latest release comes with the deluxe versions of the games and that means all of the content that was DLC once upon a time is included at no extra cost. It took me around 20 to 30 hours to finish each game with a total of over 80 hours by the time I was done. If you enjoy JRPGs and you don’t mind time limits or having to collect materials and craft everything you’ll need to get by, then I do recommend you consider picking up this collection. It’s got plenty of content to entertain.

The Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack is expensive, but that $90 is probably the best JRPG bang for your buck that you can get on the PS4. It contains three excellent games that all offer a huge amount of content. None of them are flawless, but they are charming, cute, and incredibly easy to pick up and play. If you're a fan of the Atelier franchise or are just looking for some light, casual JRPGs to play, this is the collection you want.
