Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance Reviews
Hearts of Iron IV: La Resistance is the newest DLC that adds intelligence, operations, and spies that adds meaningful mechanics to the base game.
La Resistance has almost everything you could ever want out of a Hearts of Iron IV expansion. Numerous espionage and spying mechanics will keep you interested without getting in the way of your military conquests. Barring a few qualms, La Resistance sets the bar for future Paradox DLCs focusing on a particular gameplay concept.
A bit of an odd beast that isn't as major as previous DLC, but still fills an important gap in WWII history.
La Résistance had the potential to be as massive and impactful as Man the Guns, and it does deliver some areas such as espionage agencies and slowing the pace of Hearts of Iron IV. But the myriad of odd choices over the Spanish Civil War and the Iberian Peninsula in general brings it down from its greatness to simply an average expansion.
